Australia’s diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and our mental health system needs to reflect that.

Today we’re sharing the State of Multicultural Mental Health in Australia research report, the first national snapshot of multicultural mental health in more than a decade.

Produced by Embrace in partnership with Western Sydney University, the report draws on national data, community consultations and the latest Australian research, to show how well Australia’s mental health system is supporting multicultural communities – and where gaps remain. The message is clear. When approaches are culturally responsive and community informed, outcomes improve.

This work is about turning evidence into action and shaping a mental health system that works for everyone.

One Nation Blame Brigade:

🚩 Migrants did not cause the housing crisis. Experts say migration is only a small part of the picture, while supply failure, approvals, tax settings, labour shortages and construction costs are bigger drivers.

🚩 Pauline Hanson has voted against federal action on public housing and against measures to improve affordability.

🚩 Asylum seekers are not rolling in welfare. Many are excluded from mainstream support and can only access limited SRSS help if eligible.

🚩 And the party that screams “law and order” keeps turning up in scandals involving candidates or staff linked to abuse, racism, antisemitism, homophobia or fraud.

🚩 One Nation does not love poor Australians. It loves having someone poorer, browner and more vulnerable to blame.

The survey takes just 15–20 minutes, is anonymous and asks about your awareness and use of services, any barriers you face and what supports would be most helpful.
