I initially established this page to provide a simple way of finding our Gilshenan( with all its spelling variations) roots in Ireland and on the way make Gilshenan Connections. Since self interest is a driving force, I particularily wanted to know all about my Patrick Gilshenan from Mullagh Cavan and his parents Michael Gilshenan & Mary Farrell(Farley, Farrely, their children and where their descendants are today…a long winding road?
This EBook is an avenue on that road - a way of discovering your Gilshenan stories through others and making Connections.... a resource and research tool that could provide answers for All Gilshenans!
I will in time provide hints and directions for your search from those who are far more learned than I am – a way of using this EBook The Gilshenans of Ireland 1750-1911 to find your connections. I am not a researcher for you but a page for all Gilshenans to come together, raise questions & give answers – make connections!
