We’re proud to support the team at SUCCEED Child Feeding Alliance as they host their Gold Standard Home NG Tube Feed sessions this Monday 3 November in Brisbane, right here at our Blended by Sarah offices in Windsor, Brisbane.
In just 60–90 minutes, you’ll learn a safe, joyful way to feed an infant or child using a nasogastric tube, guided by parents and professionals with lived experience.

Congratulations Georgia! We spent a wonderful day yesterday at the UQ placement showcase where over 60 students spoke about their experiences in 38 different workplaces.

As part of our work with the University of Queensland, we provide mentoring and placement opportunities for The Bachelor of Health Sciences degree. This gives students exposure to the importance of choice and agency when it comes to enteral feeding.

Georgia’s key take away from working with our team during this year’s placement was the importance of putting patient and family first and understanding the different challenges our community faces each day.

✨ Yesterday we were honoured to exhibit at the inaugural IDDSI Conference right here in our hometown, Brisbane! 🧡

The link between our IDDSI Level 2 & 3 foods and the evolving Aged Care reforms has never been stronger. While our meals are designed for enteral feeding, many people also enjoy them orally, with dysphagia being just one of the many conditions we support.

Listening to the incredible line up of speakers and meeting the passionate IDDSI organisers in person was such a highlight. It was also the very first clinical conference for our new GM Angie, who’s already an expert in all things viscosity! 🥰

Thank you IDDSI for hosting such an inspiring event and for your ongoing work to educate and empower clinicians to improve patient outcomes. 🙏

I’m so proud to share that Blended, Sharing Recipes for Love & Stories for Life has just won GOLD in the Health & Well-Being category at the ABLE Golden Book Awards ✨

This book means so much to so many people. It’s more than blended tube feeding recipes, it’s personal stories, connection, and hope. Fifteen incredible blend families came together to share their experiences and help others feel less alone on this journey. Their honesty, courage, and kindness made this possible.

To everyone who contributed, supported, bought a copy, or shared a story, thank you. 💚

This Gold is for all of us, for every tubie family doing their best every single day, and for every clinician and supporter who believes in the power of whole food and choice.

This Malnutrition Week, we’re honoured to share Oscar’s story through the words of his mum, Jenna. 💚
For Oscar, malnutrition wasn’t just a medical diagnosis – it was a daily battle woven into his life from the moment he was diagnosed with Cystinosis and Fanconi Syndrome.
What changed everything was the families decision to introduce Oscar to whole food tube feeding. With Blended by Sarah (Wholesome Blends), Oscar went from “failure to thrive” to more than doubling his weight in under 12 months. He is now a happy, thriving little boy with a quality of life his family once feared may never come.
Oscar’s journey is also featured in our cookbook Blended, Sharing Recipes for Love and Stories for Life. 💚 On page 45 you’ll find Oscar’s recipe for Beetroot Hummus and Toast, a little reminder that food can connect us, nourish us, and bring families together.
To anyone walking this path, your voice, your instincts, and your courage matter. To clinicians helping all our tube fed families, your understanding and support can make such a difference to us.
Together, by raising awareness, we can shine a light on the hidden faces of malnutrition and the power of whole food nutrition. 🌿✨

We are so humbled (and excited!) to once again be a Queensland State Finalist for the 2025 Telstra Best of Business Awards.

The category of Championing Health is especially close to our hearts. From day one our mission has been to give families who are tube-fed choice, choice in how to nourish their bodies with whole food in ways that feel right for them, not simply because outdated training tells them what they need.

Building Communities goes back to our core values everything we do has always been about giving our community power, a voice, and driving change. Our Tube fed community is the reason we’ve been able to push boundaries, advocate for change, and create a better life for families navigating tube feeding. You’ve supported, shared, and stood with us every step of the way.

These nominations are a reflection of the army of families, clinicians, and supporters who have believed in us, shouted from the rooftops, and kept us moving forward — even when the journey felt impossible. This is as much your recognition as it is ours.

A huge congratulations to the other amazing Queensland finalists – I’m proud to stand alongside you all.

Today, on Father’s Day, we honour the dads whose stories are shaped with additional love and appreciation.

Meet Pedro, , a father, a bodybuilder, an advocate, and a tube fed adult himself. His path, shared with his amazing children is also shared with our founders son Lewis, a 17 year old tube fed young man Pedro inspires, showing us the power of resilience, sacrifice and love in its truest form.

For many dads of medically complex children, Father’s Day can feel different. It can be isolating. It can highlight just how far from “normal” their path may be. And yet, it can also be overflowing with connection, pride, and a love so deep it reshapes what it means to be a father.

When a father himself is tube fed, that love carries though to their children too.

Happy Father’s Day to all our amazing tube fed fathers, and fathers who are themselves, tube fed.
