This month, Health Workforce Queensland celebrates the healthcare professionals, service providers, educators, and students working towards healthcare equity, and the communities they support. What an incredible few days at the recent RMA25 Conference!

From insightful sessions to inspiring speakers, it was a fantastic celebration of rural medicine and the people who make a difference every day. Huge thanks to the organisers for such a well-run event and to everyone who stopped by our trade stand too. One such visitor at the trade stand was Dr Santini Subramaniam (pictured below left), who we had the privilege to provide a scholarship for her to attend the conference.

It was wonderful to connect, share ideas, learn and to be part of this event Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM)

We are also delighted to congratulate Dr Sarah Jane Springer for receiving the Award for her outstanding contribution to improving the health of First Nations peoples. Her dedication, passion, commitment and leadership are truly inspiring. Sarah is pictured below with HWQ's Sandra Bukumirovic, Ross Maxwell and Kris Battye.
