I am here to support you, your partner & family. To listening to your concerns and fears, to providing nourishing and loving support postpartum. I am here to hold sacred space for you while you take radical responsibility for your pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey. I provide reassurance and am here to answer any questions you have (yes even if it's the same one over and over 😉)

I will advocate for you and your birth desires. I am here to make sure that you are aware of all your choices and are being listened to in both a hospital and home setting. I will walk beside you in your sovereignty.

I can help guide and provide you with information you may be looking for, or point you in the direction of someone if you're needing a service. I can provide resources for a variety of topics and have book recommendations that come highly respected in this realm.

🌿 Basically, think of me like a birth bestie! I've been where you are on both sides of birth. I've had 3 hospital births that have all been so different & have experienced birth trauma first hand, to then a euphoric experience of a free birth at home.
Whether you're travelling to another realm to meet your baby earth side or deep in the trenches of postpartum & motherhood, l've been exactly where you are so I can give you support from personal experience.

When you choose to have a midwife at your birth, a second midwife will also be involved and at your birth.
Make sure you meet the second midwife prior to birthing to make sure you align with them.

Some people don't actually know that this is the case and if your midwife doesn't disclose this prior to birth 🚩 🚩

This is important info to know when deciding if you want a home or free birth 🤎

Hi! I'm Emilie 🌙🌿

I just wanted to start off here by introducing myself. I'm a free birthing mama of 4 and my first free birth was 2 years ago.
I'm disgustingly in love with my fiancé who has always been my biggest cheerleader.

I absolutely adore all things women, babies, birth and support.
I unequivocally trust women and their bodies to birth their babies.

I'm a bit witchy and a bit woo woo, and I could talk birth all day long
I am a true Virgo that loves to cater and look after others, especially women.

Sisterhood within motherhood is SO important.
Holding space for mamas during pregnancy and postpartum, serving women is something that lights my soul up!

Cooking meals, emotional support, helping with the physical load around their home is just magic to me
Experiencing both hospital and free birth I know what it's like to be on both sides, plus being a mama l've experienced pregnancy and postpartum first hand, and can help support your needs within these sacred times in you and your families life.

Hello loves, it’s been a while! 🌼

I haven’t posted in quite a while (coincidentally just looked when my last post was and it was 2 years ago today!)
Life has been a wild ride the past 2 years.
My partner had some medical complications with an existing injury which led to him having a right leg amputation in March 2022.
Naturally I had to completely stop all things photography and this creative outlet to not only be a mum to 3 kids + homeschooling, but now be Josh’s full time carer. A year and a half on he’s doing SO well and has his definite prosthetic. I’m so proud of the progress he has made 🤎

We then found out we were expecting our 4th babe in October 2022. Our little Sage Moon was born this past June in the early hours under the full moon at home surrounded by fairy lights and love, lost transformative and incredible experience ever. He is so loved and we are obsessed with him (especially his sister 🥰)

I then went away for 4 days in October this year to do my doula training. I am soo excited to walk beside women as they prepare and bring their babes earth side.
I am integrating my photography with my birthkeeper business name (but will be posting separately)
My birthkeeper name is Holding Sacred Space and this page has been renamed Holding Sacred Space Photo (previously Emilie Margaret Photography)

Sage is now 5 months, and while I am still deep in PP, I am so ready to be stepping back into this creative space ✨
