We are excited to welcome Dr Milanka Kavic (MBBS, B Pharm, DCH, FRACGP) to our team.

Dr Kavic completed her medical training in Western Australia and practiced there for many years before migrating to Queensland where she was based on the Gold Coast and worked in the region for another 5 years.

She now lives in Brisbane with her family and we are fortunate to have her join the Practice.

Her many interests include all aspect of general practice from family medicine to palliative care. She is also a qualified pharmacist and passionate about her role in the medical field.

Dr Kavic joins this practice with her wealth of experience and knowledge.

We are excited to welcome Dr Sue May Liow to our team!

Dr Sue has had her medical degree from the University of Liverpool in 2010 and completed her GP training in Cambridge, UK. She obtained her fellowship from the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK in 2018.

Dr Sue has a special interest in women’s health, antenatal care, dermatology and mental health. She is committed in promoting wellbeing and exercise.

Introducing our new doctor, Dr Chris Kirtley MB ChB, PhD.

Dr Kirtley was born in UK and did his medical training in Leeds, before doing a PhD in bioengineering in Glasgow. He was an academic for 20 years, researching biomechanics and biomedical engineering in Hong Kong, Vienna and Washington DC before returning to medicine in Brisbane in 2005.
Dr Kirtley has a positive approach for all his patients. He specialises in Men’s Health, employment medical, musculoskeletal medicine, Children’s Health and has a great interest in gait analysis. This practice welcomes his skills and expertises in our field of general practice.

He lives in Gold Coast and enjoys cycling.

DON'T TAKE THE RISK THIS SEASON. GET THE FLU VACCINE.

The flu (Influenza) is the most common vaccine-preventable disease in Australia. Although it can be a mild disease, it can also cause very serious illness in otherwise healthy people. It can require hospitalisation and can even cause death.

Peak flu season usually occurs from June to September. Optimal protection against influenza occurs within the first three to four months following vaccination. Vaccinating from April provides protection before the peak season.

If you belong to any of the categories below, you are eligible to receive a free flu shot each year:
• All people aged 6 months to less than 5 years
• All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
• Pregnant women (during any stage of pregnancy)
• All people aged 65 years and over
• People aged 6 months and over with medical conditions which increase the risk of influenza disease complications.

Please note an interval of at least 14 days between a dose of influenza vaccine and a dose of COVID-19 vaccine is advised.
