The 2024 Women in Sport Congress is brought to you by the Australian Institute of Sport Female Performance and Health Initiative. This congress will bring together leading athlete performance support team members with world-class researchers from around the world. Day 3 at WISC 2026 đź’¬

Day 3 of the Women in Sport Congress continued today in Brisbane, with sessions exploring female athlete health, performance and the systems that support women in sport.

Researchers, clinicians, coaches and performance staff shared perspectives from across high performance sport, contributing to ongoing discussions around how female athletes can be better supported throughout their careers.

This evening the congress will come together for the WISC Gala Dinner and Awards, recognising individuals and initiatives helping drive progress in women’s sport. 🏆

Day 2 at WISC 2026 đź’¬

Another busy day here in Brisbane with sessions covering everything from research and clinical practice to the systems needed to better support female athletes.

What’s been great to see is the mix of people in the room with clinicians, researchers, coaches and performance staff all sharing perspectives and learning from each other.

A Professor at McMaster University and Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Skeletal Muscle Health, Prof. Phillips is a global authority on muscle physiology, protein metabolism, ageing and body composition.

A former professional cyclist who represented Australia at the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and World Championships, Chloe won Commonwealth Games gold in 2018.

Now part of our Retirement & Post Sport Life theme, she will present:

Since retiring Chloe has completed a Juris Doctor, been admitted
