Are you in your first trimester and struggling to think of snack options to help with nausea? Or do you struggle with just thinking of a good snack option on a day-to-day basis?

Here are a couple of options:
• mini egg & zucchini quiches
• handful of nuts & seeds
• homemade hummus with crackers or vegetable sticks
• baked oats
• chia puddings
• protein balls
• yoghurt (can mix in protein powder) & fruit

P.S. if you are pregnant and can only stomach plain crackers and foods that you think aren't healthy enough, that is SO fine! Eating something is better than nothing at all.

Are you worried that if you work with a Clinical Nutritionist that you'll be told to "stop this or don't eat that?"

To help you achieve your health goals, I ensure your treatment plan is achievable and sustainable for YOU. That might mean making a few dietary and lifestyle changes but it doesn't mean you have to give up all of the things you love!

Yes, that means you may still be able to have that glass of wine, ice-cream for dessert, or a piece of chocolate.
It's all about balance ✨

Are you on the pill but thinking about starting a family this year? 🤱🏻
The pill depletes important nutrients that play an important role in fertility, the development of a growing baby, and your overall health.
Some of these include:
• Vitamin A
• B vitamins
• Vitamin C
• Vitamin E
• Folate
• Magnesium
• Selenium
• Zinc

That's one of the reasons why preconception care is so important. So you aren't going into pregnancy depleted.

If you want some guidance around coming off the pill or want some help choosing a good prenatal, I would love to support you on that journey! 🤍

DM me or head to the link in the bio if you want to discuss further. ✨

Intentionally allowing yourself a minimum of 3-6 months to prepare your body for pregnancy is so important for your health, conception, and health outcomes for the baby.

S***m can take atleast 74 days to mature, so what you do months prior to conception influences motility and quantity. 🐳
Some lifestyle factors that can help improve s***m health:
- avoid excessive heat (hot tubs/saunas)
- choose loose fitting underwear
- avoid alcohol/other drugs
- exercise regularly but don't overtrain
- quit smoking/vaping
- get 7-8 hours of sleep each night
- manage stress levels

Eggs can take 90-120 days to mature, therefore what you are doing months prior to conception can contribute to the quality of the egg. 🐣
Some lifestyle factors that can improve egg quality include:
- exercise moderately
- prioritise 7-9 hours of sleep each night
- reduce stress levels
- reduce exposure to environmental chemicals
- avoid alcohol/other drugs
- quit vaping/smoking
- limit caffeine
- spend time outdoors

Are you wanting to get pregnant and start a family sometime this year? 🤰
NOW may be the time to start thinking about your preconception care and getting your body ready for a baby.

Just some of the foods that both you and your partner can incorporate into the diet to help with egg and s***m quality include:
salmon, eggs, oysters, green leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, sunflower seeds, wholegrains, Brazil nuts, walnuts, sweet potato, beef, mushrooms, pumpkin, and chia seeds. 🍓

Allowing AT LEAST 3-6 months prior to conception gives you the opportunity to correct any nutrient deficiencies you may have, ensuring you are going into pregnancy with optimal nutrient status to support your health and the development of the baby.
Taking the correct prenatal is SO important - let me know if you need some guidance in this area. ✨

With AI at our fingertips, it's so easy to just think "why spend money on a nutritionist when I can just get my answers for free online?"

AI might give you some quick and generic tips for your symptoms, but it does not take into consideration your medical history, family history, current supplementation, diet, lifestyle etc etc.
Not only does a nutritionist go into all that detail, but you will get a specific treatment plan tailored specifically for YOU. You will also get ongoing support and care as you reach your health goals! ✨

DM if you have any questions or head to the link in the bio and book an appointment if you want health advice tailored for you.

P.S. I know this photo makes it look like I'm a Ferrari fan, but I'm an Audi girly 🏎️

Supplements can provide a huge benefit to our health if they are used the correct way. But sometimes they may not be beneficial or can even be harmful to our health.
They may contain nutrients that your body doesn't actually need, contain a form that may be of poor quality and your body doesn't actually absorb or use it (hello expensive urine), there may be interactions with medications, there might not be a high enough dose in the supplement to provide a therapeutic effect, or you're pregnant/trying to conceive and they might negatively impact the baby.

Consulting with a qualified health professional (eg. Clinical Nutritionist) before taking any supplements is vital to ensure you are getting the best for your body and health.

It is SO important that you don't self-prescribe, take advice from unqualified health 'professionals' or health coaches, follow the same supplement regime of a friend or family member, or buy every supplement an influencer is marketing to you 💊

DM if you have any questions or feel free to book in a consultation ✨
