Guest speaker: Dr Nischal Singh Speaker Bio: Dr Nischal Singh is the principal owner of Sydenham Dental Group, which he established back in 1995. He is a highly experienced dental clinician with a special interest in craniofacial pain, TMJ disorders, headaches, sleep-related breathing disorders, and early intervention orthodontics. His treatment philosophy is centred on TMJ function, physiology, airway maintenance, and the management of sleep-disordered breathing, with a focus on delivering better outcomes for patients. Academically, his achievements are outstanding. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 1994 and went on to complete a Masters Program at Tufts University in Boston, USA, with a strong emphasis on craniofacial pain and sleep disorders. His thesis, ‘Sleep Bruxism as a Clinical Marker for Paediatric Obstructive Sleep Apnea–Hypopnea Syndrome’, was awarded the highest grade by the Tufts thesis committee and has since become a valuable reference for dental and medical professionals worldwide. In recognition of this work, he received international research awards from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine in 2012. With over 20 years dedicated to helping people suffering from craniofacial pain, he also shares his knowledge by actively teaching clinicians, including at the postgraduate level in universities.
