One of our participants spent the day with his Brother giving his ute a proper clean, inside and out until it was sparkling.

The day wasn’t just about washing a ute. It was about learning responsibility, building independence, doing the hard work and taking pride in looking after the things that matter.

With the right support, everyday tasks become opportunities for growth, confidence, and achievement.

What looks like a simple afternoon of baking is actually part of the Assist with Daily Living support we provide through the NDIS.

From learning new skills and following a recipe, to sharing laughs and enjoying the results, these everyday activities help build independence, confidence, and connection.

R U OK?

At Brothers, we know the strongest thing we can do is check in with our community. A simple “How are you, really?” can open the door to honesty, healing, and connection.

R U OK Day reminds us that conversations can change lives. You don’t need the perfect words or the right answers, you just need to care enough to ask, and to listen without judgment.

This year, we’re encouraging our Brothers, families, and community to:

✔ Check in with a mate, colleague, or family member.
✔ Listen deeply without rushing to fix or solve.
✔ Remind each other that it’s okay to not be okay.

Together, we can create safe spaces where honesty is met with compassion and no males in our community feel like they have to walk alone.

So today, ask the question. And be ready to listen.
