Sometimes life, health, motherhood, work, business, relationships, finances etc can feel like an uphill slog, a tough climb, a mountain of constant obstacles and challenges to get past.

But just remember this - when you keep motioning forward despite the constant uphill climb, you’re not stuck, you’re rising.

You’re a mum/woman rising up towards having what your heart and soul truly desire. That in itself is worth the climb.

In being a midlife mother, it has always been, and still is so important for me to move my body and also get outdoors in nature, everyday.

Both being in nature plus moving my body whether it’s done outside or inside, has activated in me powerful resources of the nervous system, brain, and subconscious mind as well as that of my chakra energy system.

This has all created in me a more thriving stronger inner foundation of calm, strength, energy and resilience.

Plus one that has sustained and carried me much more easily over the years through the storms of life and into the current midlife years plus post menopause.

By continuing to move my body and be in nature everyday, I already know within me that the years to come and those of elderly age will be full of having a body that moves with ease, energy and strength plus a mind that is sharp and strong because I’ve created it from that younger age and sustained it daily and continue to do so.

When Hanna first came to me, she was overwhelmed by stress, depression, and negative thought patterns she couldn’t escape.

She was resorting to unhealthy coping mechanisms which were also keeping her stuck in survival mode.

She shared that she felt stuck in her past, drowning in self-doubt and emotional heaviness. Nothing she had tried — psychology, mindfulness, audios — seemed to truly shift things at the root.

In her words:

“I could no longer handle my thoughts of the past, my negativity, self doubt, judgement of myself and that of others.” — Hanna

Through our work together, we focused on releasing emotional weight, calming her nervous system, and rewiring the subconscious patterns keeping her in survival.

Over time, everything began to change.

She later shared:
“I feel so much stronger in myself and my mind… I’m not getting stressed and depressed anymore, and have so much confidence and self worth.”

That’s the shift from survival-based patterns to self-led embodied thriving.

Not perfection.
Not bypassing hard things.
But feeling steady, confident, and grounded within yourself again.

Life doesn’t have to be about coping.

Life isn’t meant to be just surviving — mentally, emotionally, physically, or financially — but I know what it’s like to live there.

I know the struggle, the suffering, the stuckness.

There was a long season where survival wasn’t just a mindset — it was my reality.

Losing my mum at 19 shaped me deeply, followed by years of anxiety about my health. Then came long-term financial strain — constant money pressure, emotional tension, mental load, and the weight of holding everything together for my family and marriage.

On the outside, I was functioning. Working. Parenting. Managing.
Inside, I was bracing for impact — gripping tightly to control because it felt like the only way to survive uncertainty.

Survival looked like:
• suppressing emotions so I wouldn’t break
• pushing through exhaustion
• carrying constant mental load
• feeling stuck and limited
• doubting my worth and what was possible

As life moves into midlife, these patterns can quietly intensify if they’re left unaddressed.

What changed was this:
I stopped looking outside myself for the fix — and began working within.

Through daily, practical, sustainable strategies that regulated my nervous system, rewired subconscious beliefs, and built emotional resilience, I created a strong inner foundation of calm, strength, energy, and self-leadership.

That foundation helped restore my calm, strengthen my motherhood, support my marriage and family, and expand what I believed was possible.

Now, as a Midlife Mums Mentor, I support mothers to rise out of survival-based patterns and into self-led, embodied thriving — in body, mind, and life.

Because if you’ve reached midlife and still surviving, it isn’t your limitation.
It’s your rising.

Life isn’t meant to be just surviving - mentally, emotionally, physically even financially, but I know what it’s like to do so.

I know the struggles, suffering, stuckness. It really seems unnecessary.

There was a long season in my life where survival wasn’t just a mindset — it was my life reality.

Losing my mum at 19 shaped me deeply.
Long years worth of anxiety about my health followed.

Then came long-term financial strain and more added anxiety with repeated financial blows, constant money pressures, emotional tension, mental angst, and carrying the weight of holding everything together for my family and marriage.

On the outside, I was functioning. Working. Parenting. Managing.

But inside, I was bracing for impact, holding on tight and gripping hard to all that I could, did, and had, especially to what money we had left.

This control was a means of survival during so much uncertainty.

Survival looked like:
• suppressing emotions so I wouldn’t “break”
• pushing through emotional exhaustion
• living in constant mental load
• feeling stuck and limited
• doubting my worth and what was possible for me/us.

Life leading into midlife can quietly amplify these patterns if they’re not addressed earlier.

But here’s what changed:
I stopped looking outside of me for the fix.
I began working within.

Through utilising daily practical, sustainable strategies that regulated my nervous system, rewired subconscious beliefs, built emotional resilience, along with that of committing to daily self-leadership — I built a strong inner foundation of calm, strength, energy and resilience.

That foundation helped to save my marriage and family.
Strengthened my motherhood.
Restored my calm.
Expanded what I believed was possible.

It enabled me to keep moving forward, to get back up after being knocked down by life’s constant challenges. To keep rising up through it all.

Now, as a Midlife Mums Mentor, I help mothers rise out of survival-based patterns and into self-led, embodied thriving in body, mind, and life.

Because if you’ve reached midlife and still finding yourself surviving, it isn’t your limitation.
It’s your rising.
