At Rest Funerals were honoured to have taken care of
Veryl Katherine Darbyshire last week and we had her service yesterday.

Veryl or Verle as she was known to many was born in Taranaki New Zealand.

Veryl was a Maternity nurse in both Hawera and Patea hospitals having probably assisted many of us in our region to be safely born, especially my younger siblings.

Veryl was the beloved wife of The Late John Darbyshire and loving Mum of 7 Children and all her Grandchildren.

Veryl was a wonderful woman who helped her community.
Veryl also had a mischievous nature about her also with that cheeky glint in her eye.

Veryl Will be missed by everyone who knew her

She is finally reunited with her Love

We celebrated the life of Aukusitino “Tino”
Alefosio yesterday surrounded by his loving wife Norma their children, and grand children, family and friends.

Tino as he was known to many was a man of integrity who embodied kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

His presence touched all who knew him whether through his love of fishing, his passion for gardening or his gift for cooking.

Tino found joy in life’s simple pleasures and shared those moments of happiness with his family and friends.

Tino leaves behind his loving wife Norma with whom he shared many beautiful years.
He is also survived by his 4 devoted children as well as a beloved Pop of 16 grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren al of whom he adored.

His Legacy of love and warmth will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life

Aukusitino will be deeply missed but his spirit will forever remain a guiding light for his family.

Aukusitino Alefosio may you now Rest In Peace.

Some heartbreaks and heart aches,

Some losses, some lessons learnt,

Many friends gained relationships strengthened and loves lost,

2024 this chapter is almost closing
The sun is almost set

And the sun will rise soon for 2025

May you all find peace and comfort in the family and friends that you hold dear to you.

We will remember all those who have touched our lives and continue to do so today
