There is so much strength in the way you’ve kept going

Finding ways to cope, even when it is hard

But staying in survival mode doesn’t have to be forever

Healing is about gently understanding yourself with kindness and learning that returning to safety is possible

You deserve support that feels steady, respectful and hopeful

If your ready for things to feel lighter, that’s a brave place to begin ☀️

What happens in a first session?

Your first therapy session is simply about getting comfortable and beginning to build trust

We’ll talk through confidentiality, and how therapy works, get to know each other and gently explore what’s been happening that brought you here

It’s a supportive, steady conversation focused on understanding your experiences and making sure the fit feels right

Our aim is to create a space that feels safe, respectful and human from the very beginning

You don’t need to be at rock bottom to seek therapy.

You don’t need a crisis.
You don’t need a diagnosis.
You don’t need to “prove” it’s bad enough.

Sometimes therapy is about:
🫶making sense of emotions
🫶learning new tools
🫶supporting your child (or yourself) before stress builds

Support is allowed before burnout.

Young people don’t always have the words to explain what they’re feeling, their emotions often show up in other ways.

Changes in behaviour, mood, sleep, or physical complaints are rarely “just a phase.”

They’re often signals that something feels overwhelming, confusing, or unsafe for a child.

When these signs are noticed early, support can help children feel understood, build emotional skills and regain a sense of calm and confidence.

You don’t need to wait until things escalate to seek help.

Sometimes, early support makes all the difference 🤍

With school returning this week for many of our young people, we wanted to take a moment to look at what anxiety can look like — and how we can support, reassure, and help our children during this transition.

If they need a little extra support, gently encourage them to reach out to their school counsellor, and provide reassurance that they are always welcome to see one of our caring practitioners here for further support.

Big life transitions can bring big feelings 💛

From starting high school, finishing school, choosing uni or TAFE, taking a gap year, or not knowing what’s next — uncertainty and anxiety are a normal part of change.

Learning how to manage these feelings is so important, and open, honest conversations with parents can make a huge difference.

The Good Life Therapy are here to help and provide extra support in navigating life’s transitions.

As the year begins to wind down, life can start to feel a little chaotic — wrapping things up, planning ahead, and trying to keep up with everything in between.

A gentle reminder: you’re allowed to slow down. Small acts of self-care can make the biggest difference.

Simple ways to take care of yourself right now:
• Prioritise sleep — your mind and body need the reset.
• Nourish yourself with balanced, supportive foods.
• Stay connected — make time for the people who fill you up.
• Take short breaks to breathe, rest, and check in with yourself.
• Let go of the pressure to finish the year “perfectly”.

The end of the year doesn’t need to be a rush. You deserve moments of calm, connection, and care.
