🌟 Support Worker Wanted – Logan Reserve QLD 🌟

We are currently seeking a female support worker to join our team in supporting a 14-year-old female participant with ASD Level 3, ADHD, and PDA profile.

📍 Location: Logan Reserve, QLD
🕒 Shifts: 4 hours per day, 3 days per week

About the Role:
This position involves providing support primarily around daily routines and home schooling. The participant experiences selective mutism, so preferred communication includes sign language and the use of assistance apps (e.g. text-to-speech, AAC tools).

We are looking for someone who is:
✅ Female, aged 25+
✅ Experienced in working with autism, complex behaviours, and specifically PDA presentations
✅ Neuro-affirming in their approach
✅ Patient, adaptable, and trauma-informed
✅ Willing to work under the current provider arrangements already in place within the home (no independents)

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a young person’s life while working within a supportive home environment.

Hours - Monday to Sunday morning shift 2nd assist (8am start)
Saturday & Sunday day shift (8am start)
Monday to Sunday night shift (8pm start)

On the 2nd of May one of our wonderful participants attended the Kalbar Sunflower Festival🌻

He had an absolute blast with his support worker Maddie! This was an experience that will never be forgotten.

Valleys Diehards have teamed up with Infinity Sunflower Care to support Wally, in raising awareness and funds for CTE and Dementia Australia. On July 27th, our BRL A Grade team will wear special jerseys, now up for auction, to raise much-needed funds for this vital cause.

This unique initiative comes at a critical time when Wally has shared his personal experience of living with probable CTE, calling for government support to fund awareness and support programs.

CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) is a preventable form of dementia caused by repeated traumatic brain injuries. It can lead to significant changes in mood, behaviour, and cognitive function. Despite its preventable nature, CTE affects thousands, underscoring the urgent need for research and support.
