A button battery in the ear canal is a serious emergency that requires immediate medical attention. This patient did not know that they had a hearing aid battery removed which was encased in a wax blockage. Thankfully our professional team removed this safely for our patient.

FACT: Ear wax (cerumen) is a natural, protective substance that helps keep your ears healthy by trapping dust, debris, and bacteria.

You only need to remove ear wax if it's blocking your GP from being able to properly assess your ear drum, or causing symptoms like a blocked feeling, itching, ringing, or reduced hearing.
