Mmmhmmm, mmmhmmm....as I pulled this card after teaching yoga this morning, I felt a knowing. But at the same time, a question surfaced... What really is self-acceptance?
Does self-acceptance mean to surrender to what is, to how we are, to stop striving to reach our goals, to, in a sense, give up? Especially in this context of "working on yourself," self-acceptance can seem somewhat like admitting defeat. Just accept what is as nothing can or will change, so why try?
Or, is the concept of self-acceptance instead an invitation to meet yourself with love? To continue to strive towards goals, not with a sense of needing to change or improve to be something other than what you already are, but instead to allow love to lead you towards reaching your fullest potential, of what you already are....hmmmm.
An invitation to ponder this idea, this concept & what it means for you.
