❄️We are very excited to be returning to the Lemonade Kids Winter Holiday Camp this year! We’ll be facilitating a workshop focused on helping kids explore decision-making and offering practical tools to support impulse control and emotional regulation.

We’re excited to announce The Brazen Bloom Bundle, a Parenting Support Program designed to help you navigate challenging behaviours and big emotions in your child with practical, evidence-based strategies and clear processes that promote self-regulation and emotional growth.

Delivered over two separate 50 minutes sessions (booked at your convenience), the program can be offered face-to-face or online and provides support to help you:

• 💡 Build insight and awareness into your child’s emotions and behaviour through a scientific and compassionate lens
• 🧩 Follow a structured, practical process for managing challenging behaviour—removing the guesswork and creating consistency and security for your child
• 🤝 Learn emotion coaching techniques to co-regulate effectively, even in the face of big emotions

Kelsey has been supporting young people at Brazen Bloom for the past three years, bringing warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each child and teen’s unique experience. She blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Narrative Therapy to help clients navigate big feelings, life transitions, and challenges in a way that aligns with their values and strengths.

Through ACT, she helps clients learn to sit with difficult emotions rather than feeling overwhelmed by them. Narrative Therapy allows them to step outside of problems, reframe their experiences, and build a sense of agency in their own story. With Kelsey, kids and teens are empowered to embrace who they are and move forward with confidence.

✨Is your child finding the back-to-school transition difficult? 🎒💭

👧🏻👦🏻 👧🏾You’re not alone—many kids struggle with changes in routine, separation anxiety, or school-related worries.

📜Below is a helpful script for parents to acknowledge and validate their child’s nervousness before school, while also offering them support in managing the emotion. 👇🏼

⭐️”It makes sense that you’re feeling worried right now. It’s completely okay to feel this way. Sometimes, we feel worried about things that matter to us, and that’s exactly what you’re feeling right now. I get worried too when I go back to work after a long break. Change can be tricky, and it’s normal to feel this way. Which calming strategy would you like to try practice to help you calm this feeling?”⭐️

The language encourages children to accept their uncomfortable feelings, rather than avoiding them or allowing them to intensify.

This script also helps to normalise the emotion, which helps children understand that it’s okay to experience discomfort.

🧑‍🧒Additionally, by sharing that you too feel nervous in similar situations, you model emotional acceptance and create a sense of shared understanding.

This approach also demonstrates that you can hold space for difficult their emotions without judgment or panic. It’s a powerful way to help your child build emotional resilience and develop healthier ways of coping.
