Our Obstetricians, Gynaecologists and Sonographers are specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecological ultrasound. They are passionate about providing excellent service in women's ultrasound and utilise high end ultrasound equipment to provide quality care.

✨ QUFW Southport – First Sonographer Education & Case Study Evening ✨

On Tuesday night, we hosted our very first sonographer education and case study evening at QUFW Southport — and what a fantastic turnout from our local Gold Coast sonography community!

The night featured engaging presentations on:
🔹 Endometriosis with laparoscopic correlation
🔹 Triploidy case studies
🔹 A fascinating gynaecological case on trachelectomy

A huge thank you to our talented QUFW sonographers for preparing and delivering such insightful sessions. Your knowledge and passion for advancing our field is truly inspiring.

Your referring doctor may recommend a pre-IVF fertility workup as part of a checkup to understand the factors that may be affecting your fertility.

As part of their assessment, they may request that you have a routine pelvic ultrasound to rule out any concerns that may affect your journey through IVF.

Here are some of the things we look for in a pre-IVF workup and routine gynaecological ultrasound.

We often assess factors such as uterine and ovarian size, positioning, shape and structure.

❋ Uterus and endometrium

❋ Ovaries

❋ Fallopian tubes via HyFoSy examinations

❋ Pelvic or adnexal area

❋ Cervix

❋ A Deep Endometriosis (DE) assessment is also included in all routine pelvic assessments at QUFW
