Last week Vanguard Health hosted an evening with our clients, partners and doctors from our Medical Solutions and IRIS programs. It was a great opportunity to connect outside the hospital and clinic environment and spend time building relationships in a more relaxed setting.

These moments allow for open conversation, shared learning and a deeper understanding of how we can continue to support continue better delivery of healthcare every day. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the night and made it such a fantastic evening!

The latest Australian Eye and Ear Health Survey (AEEHS) shows real progress in reducing vision impairment across the country but it also highlights a persistent gap for Indigenous communities, especially in remote areas.

That’s why Vanguard Health’s Indigenous and Remote Eye Health Service (IRIS Program) remains so important. By bringing eye specialists directly into regional and remote communities, IRIS is improving access to eye exams, cataract surgery, and ongoing care.

IRIS is delivering practical, measurable change helping reduce avoidable vision loss and strengthening local care capacity through culturally safe, community-led partnerships.

A cyclone watch has been issued for coastal communities and authorities are urging residents to start preparing now.
