The love-and-mostly-hate relationship I have with my reproductive system dates back to a specific Sunday afternoon when I was in eighth grade.I still contend that getting my period was my worst day. I didn’t want to celebrate. Rather, I hid in my bedroom the entire day hoping it would just go away. When I was married, I’d wish away my period like I was concentrating on moving an object with my mind. When the dull ache of cramps would settle into my pelvis, I’d know that we, yet again, weren’t pregnant.Month after month, still no signs of pregnancy. So we decided to come and see Dr Gupta both my husband and I were tested and had a full work up. We decided that IVF would be a good choice for us. We are now 20 weeks and 4 days waiting for our littlest family member to arrive. Around 50% of post-menopausal women experience a range of symptoms that are very rarely discussed. These symptoms are grouped under the term Genito-Urinary Syndrome Of Menopause (formerly known as va**nal atrophy) and may include these symptoms - Pain during in*******se (Dyspareunia) - Dryness or itching - Recurrent infections - Burning sensations and irritation - Urinary urgency and incontinence - Laxity. These symptoms often appear 3-4 years after menopause, continue to get worse with time and may or may not occur simultaneously. MonaLisa Touch stimulates fibroblast cells in the skin to promote natural regeneration processes. This stimulates collagen formation underneath the va**nal skin, promotes proliferation of the cells and restoration of blood supply. In as little as 30 days after treatment there is regeneration of new tissue in the va**nal walls and the protective mucosa recovers volume, hydration and elasticity.

I underwent treatment for breast cancer at age 37, and I always knew I may not be able to use the various hormone medications and va**nal products when I went through menopause, due to the cancer I had being sensitive to the hormones. I’m a mother of 4 children (all va**nal deliveries) and was concerned about the loss of tightness in my va**na, which was affecting in*******se for both my husband and myself. My gynaecologist suggested using a combination of MonaLisa laser

I know I’m probably not the typical patient for this procedure – I’m 72 years old and have dealt with quite a few health issues in the past.
