Sasha Birgé - Physiotherapist

Sasha Birgé is a dual-credentialed Physiotherapist and Certified Athletic Trainer. Since becoming a physiotherapist, Sasha has worked in a variety of outpatient settings and sporting organisations, including but not limited to: NEAFL, QAFLW, QRL and with professional boxers.

Sasha has a particular interest in injury assessment and management, manual therapy, and exercise prescription. He particularly enjoys using VALD technology to gather data that helps to convey clear information to his patients and inform treatment intervention decisions.

💥 Let's talk about pain 💥 Which is never a fun topic....

Experiencing pain is one of the most common reasons for seeing a physiotherapist.

Pain can be caused by many different things, and the sensation of pain is unique to the individual who is experiencing it. In order to help alleviate pain, it is our job as clinicians to understand what is responsible for causing your pain.

This process of assessing the cause of pain will include a subjective assessment (conversational interview where we as clinicians gather information about your health and medical history) and an objective assessment (a group of physical tests where we assess functional components of movement). We then synthesize the information gathered to determine who best to proceed.

Introducing the latest member of the Alta Allied Health team, Clinic Manager & Physiotherapist, Ben!

Ben joins our team with a wealth of knowledge having worked and owned several private practice physiotherapy clinics across Brisbane. He is a strong advocate for the Physiotherapy profession, being the current Queensland Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Business Chair and is on the Queensland APA Branch Council. Through these positions, Ben has worked closely with WorkCover Queensland where he has developed a strong interest in helping the injured worker return back to living a fulfilling life.

In his free time, you can find Ben reading the latest self-development and/or biography book, taking his social indoor soccer a little too seriously or hanging out with his two Bengal cats.

Yesterday, we proudly provided access to Alta’s human measurement technology to a wealth of young regional footballers working to make their mark 🙌

It was great to see a few familiar faces from testing conducted earlier in the year at our clinic as Sasha and Brad delivered further performance testing on VALD Performance’s NordBord and ForceDecks. 👏
