💛 With Love, We Say… We Don’t Want to See You in Our Care

Today is World Day for Safety and Health at Work, a reminder that every worker deserves to return home safe — physically and mentally.

At Cornerstone, our role begins when life has ended, which is why we sincerely hope to see fewer people harmed through preventable workplace incidents and unsafe environments.

Workplace safety is more than physical risks. Psychosocial hazards can also cause real harm to mental and physical wellbeing. These may include:

• Excessive job demands
• Poor support or unclear roles
• Bullying, conflict or harassment
• Exposure to traumatic events
• Isolation or unsafe environments
• Lack of recognition or fairness

Just like physical hazards, these risks deserve to be identified, addressed, and managed.

Speak up. Name the hazard. Support one another. Create the kind of workplace where people can thrive.

Because meaningful change starts when someone is willing to start the conversation.

🌺 ANZAC Day

Today, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served, and those who continue to serve.

We remember the lives given, the families impacted, and the legacy that continues to shape our nation.

Lest we forget.

🎬 Understanding Alzheimer’s Through Film

Sometimes, stories help us understand what words alone cannot. Film has a powerful way of shining a light on the realities of Alzheimer’s disease — not just the diagnosis, but the emotional, psychological, and social impact it has on individuals and families.

These movies explore themes of memory, identity, love, and loss, while also highlighting the resilience and strength of those living with the condition and those who support them.

While some of these stories can be confronting, they offer a meaningful opportunity to build empathy, awareness, and appreciation for the experiences of others.

🌿 Taking a Moment to Breathe

The world can feel overwhelming at times, and when you’re caring for others, that weight can feel even heavier. Looking after yourself is important, even if it sometimes feels like just another thing on the to-do list.

So today, take a moment.
Pause. Breathe a little deeper.

💛 Set a reminder to stop and stretch
💛 Notice something good, something kind, something beautiful
💛 Acknowledge the challenges and the strength they’re building
💛 Give yourself credit for showing up

Behind every person doing their best, there is often a whole network of quiet support, people working in the background, holding things together, helping others stay afloat.

We don’t always see it, but it’s there. And you are part of it too.

Let’s take a moment to recognise not just the work we do, but the unseen care, teamwork, and compassion that carries us all forward.

Come on down and write on our coffin.
Redcliffe markets today, the weather is beautiful. See you soon!

Yes, this is a coffin.
Yes, it's real.

Cornerstone Funerals is at Radcliffe Markets today, giving people the opportunity to be a little more comfortable, and.start the conversations

What do you want to happen before, during and after your death?

There are likely a lot more choices than you think, and if you don't share your wishes, how will anyone else know?
