Hey, Dhyana Yoga community! 🧘

I’m thrilled to share the exciting news that we’re expanding our yoga family with the introduction of Dhyana Yoga Kids Kalmer, starting 🌟TUESDAY, 30th JANUARY 🌟

At Kids Kalmer, we inspire young hearts and minds through the transformative power of yoga. Our classes cater to kids and teens aged from 2-16 years, introducing them to a world of wellness, balance and self-discovery.

From playful yoga sequences to mindful breathing exercises, each class becomes an avenue of exploration, discovery and joy. I believe that children possess an innate wisdom and through yoga, I hope to create a nurturing space where they can tap into that wisdom and let their inner light shine.

Why kids’ yoga, you ask?

🌈 Teaching yoga to children has countless benefits! From boosting concentration and enhancing flexibility to promoting emotional resilience, our classes are a holistic approach to your child’s well-being.

✨Reflecting on 2023 and Welcoming the New Year with Hope and Resilience ✨

As we bid farewell to 2023, my heart is filled with gratitude and reflections on a year that brought both joyous moments and profound challenges. This past year, our family had the incredible opportunity to create lasting memories in South Korea and Estonia.

On a personal journey, I delved deeper into my passion for yoga, completing further teacher training that promises exciting new classes in the coming year. The journey of self-discovery and learning is a perpetual source of inspiration, and I can’t wait to share the benefits of this newfound knowledge with my yoga community.

In the realm of personal growth, I dedicated time to the study of Neuro-linguistic Programming, a fascinating exploration that promises to enhance my understanding of communication and mindset. The pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong journey, and I am excited to see how this newfound wisdom will shape the path ahead.

Amidst the high of 2023, we also navigated the challenges of illness and loss. My beautiful dad, a pillar of strength, embarked on a courageous six-month journey, and though the pain of losing him is profound, I am grateful for the love and support I received from loyal friends, yoga students and my incredible family. Your unwavering presence illuminated the darkest moments and reminded me of the strength found in unity.

Looking ahead to 2024, our family is overjoyed to share the exciting news of welcoming a third grandchild. The prospect of new life brings hope and renewal, a beautiful testament to the circle of life.

Classes will resume on 8th January, as we embark on a new chapter with renewed purpose and commitment. Our yoga studio is not just a space for physical practice but a sanctuary for community, healing and growth.

Thank you for being part of my journey in 2023. Wishing you a New Year filled with love, resilience and the promise of new beginnings.

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, finding balance can seem like a distant dream. But this week, let’s make it our intention to seek that elusive equilibrium. 🌟

Imagine life as a tightrope walk, with chaos on one side and calmness on the other. It’s a delicate act, but we can find our balance point- that sweet spot where we navigate through challenges gracefully.

In the face of chaos, remember that within you lies a reservoir of serenity. Like the calm at the centre of a storm, it’s always there, waiting for you to tap into it. ☯️

This week, embrace each day with equanimity. Approach your tasks with a sense of calm and poise. When things get overwhelming, take a moment to breathe deeply, reconnect with your inner peace, and move forward with clarity.

⏰ Set boundaries: Establish specific times when you’ll use your devices and when you won’t. Stick to these boundaries.

🏠 Create Device-free Zones: Designate certain areas of your home (like the bedroom) as device-free zones to promote relaxation.

🛌 Unplug Before Bed: Avoid screens at least an hour before bedtime to improve sleep quality.

📵Notification Management: Turn off non-essential notifications to reduce distractions and interruptions.

🏋️‍♀️ Physical Activity: Replace screen time with physical activities like walking, yoga or meditation.

📚 Reading: Pick up a book, magazine or e-reader instead of scrolling through social media.

Welcome back to our Wednesday Wellness series, 🌿where we’re unravelling the threads of well-being that extend beyond the yoga mat. Let’s’ dive into today’s empowering tips!

Breathe and De-stress

💨 Embrace the power of your breath. Practice deep, intentional belly breathing to calm your nervous system. Inhale for calm, exhale for release.

🧘‍♀️ Engage in mindful breathing exercises throughout your day. Find a quiet moment to close your eyes and simply breathe. Notice how your breath brings you back to the present moment.

Try inhaling for a count of four…hold for four…exhale for four…hold for four. This practice is a quick way to calm your nervous system.

🌳 Nature Connection: If possible, take your deep breathing exercises outdoors. Fresh air and nature can enhance the de-stressing effects of your practice.

⏳Set Aside Time: Dedicate a few minutes each day to intentional breathing and relaxation. Consistency can make a big difference in reducing overall stress.

🧘‍♀️Yoga Classes: Consider joining a yoga class, like those offered by Dhyana Yoga, to learn and practice various breathing and relaxation techniques.

📵Digital Detox: Reduce screen time, especially before bedtime. The blue light from screens can disrupt your sleep, leading to added stress.

🕯️Aromatherapy: Explore calming scents like lavender or chamomile to enhance your relaxation while you breathe.
