This comes after 2 years of intensive therapy focused around her mobility and use of this walker.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF OLDER PERSONS 👋

On this day, the goal is to raise awareness on ageing with SBH, the barriers older persons with SBH can face and the need for lifting these barriers.

This year the United Nations has chosen to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons under the theme “Digital Equity for All Ages" to predicate the need for access and meaningful participation in the digital world by older person.

The objective of is to bring awareness of the importance of digital inclusion of older persons while tackling stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination associated with digitalization taking into account sociocultural norms and the right to autonomy.

SBH QUEENSLAND IS CELEBRATING DAY 1 OF SPINA BIFIDA AWARENESS MONTH 👋

This year the International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (IF) selected the theme “Unlock Your Right To Health” to bring attention to the rights of persons with disabilities as laid out in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).

During the whole month of October, SBH Queensland will be sharing a wide range of information, resources & stories to raise awareness and support for our community, and you are invited to take part in it.

The goal is to raise $2,000 to support the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus community, and you can support directly by donating today!

All donations are entirely tax-deductible and ensure we can continue to provide therapeutic support services to our community.
