Hello!! Just a quick note that I am working as a psychotherapist in private practice currently. I use art in the sessions if the client so wishes. This is basically every client ATM. I work in Springwood (4127) on Thursdays only. I am a registered member of the Australian Association of Social Workers AASW. I don't have a registration anymore with Anzacata. Regardless of the registrations, my qualifications are Masters of Mental Health (Art Therapy major) and Masters of Social Work Studies (Qualified), both through the University of Queensland. I am currently open to new referrals from January 2026 onwards. Plan managed NDIS clients and private clients accepted. Call 07-28015745 for an appointment or enquiry.

NDIS:
I will start taking new clients in September. Unless NDIS changes in ways that I am not able to continue. I have also given up my Anzacata membership for now because it's getting too expensive to pay several registrations. I am a member of AASW and there is a possibility that I continue providing art therapy under the social worker code in the future. But for now, everything stays the same.

Despite all the unnecessary and unfortunate and DISRUPTIVE hassle around art therapy getting a cut from NDIS funding, it turns out that it continues at least for now. So good news for those who find it beneficial as well as small therapy business owners like myself. Everyone has lost in this Bill Shorten-led debacle since last November. Everyone except Shorten. But that's politics. Thank you all those advocates who have worked so hard to keep art therapy afloat!

Just reminding you that I am back in Springwood. I have a couple of spots left for alternate Thursdays.

Hello! Fyi. If you are on NDIS and looking to have individual art therapy sessions, I can do it if it's written in your plan, or as a social worker. Please ask your support coordinator contact me to discuss further. I have two qualifications from UQ: social work AND mental health (specialisation in art therapy). Most of my clients are adults. Springwood location (4127).

Hi, just informing everyone that I continue providing individual art therapy sessions under NDIS until I am told I can't anymore under current funding model. NDIS funding continues as has been until 17/4 until the review by NDIS is completed.
Clients can also apply for sessions specifically for art therapy.
Finally, I am also a professional Social Worker so I am happy to see clients privately as a social worker and use art in my social work practice to support my clients.
