You may have found it difficult to control your food intake, particularly if you are unaware of calories or tracking food.⁠

They are identifying titles to specific diets. Some including a varied amount of food, others restricted certain foods. Some of these diets may promote drastic results or improvement in health, But let's look beyond that.⁠⁠
The #1 thing to consider when approaching a lifestyle change around the food you consume is YOU! If you start a diet, ask yourself:⁠
- Can I do this long term?⁠
- Do I enjoy the food I am eating?⁠
- How does eating this way impact my lifestyle?⁠⁠
Dieting is often thought about in the short term. Please consider a long term approach, implemented successfully and sustainably. You can live healthy and still enjoy life.⁠

Good Food vs. Evil Food⁠⁠
The fact is good food and evil food are not fair labels to apply to something that by definition sustains and aids our growth and energy to function daily.⁠⁠
What we idolize as good foods and what we demonize as evil foods are socially constructed views, a result of a complexity of issues including from poor education, rigid rules around eating and issues with body image.⁠⁠
Food is not evil, take some time during your day to improve your relationship with food. Think about how food nourishes and sustains you, think about how often celebrations have been brought about around food. ⁠⁠
It is a small step, but instead of focusing on the negatives, look at food with a positive mindset,⁠

Be honest with yourself, how many times has one year concluded and another begun with a surge in motivation to be better than the last. ⁠⁠
New Year, New You isn't a sustainable thought process, if you are solely motivated by the ending of the year and a resolution forgotten in 2 months time.⁠⁠
Begin with a resolution, think about what daily actions you need to employ to fulfil that resolution. Think big, step forward with a plan, creating small change each day until it becomes a mundane habit. ⁠⁠
The initial effort will be challenging and require discipline to maintain. If you can maintain it, it will become apart of daily life.⁠
