Dear mum, even after seven years without you, mother's day is always the toughest. Its the one day where I notice mum's and daughters together and I remember all those times we used to be together enjoying each others company, but never once did I think that each of those times would be the final time.
Mum, if I could talk to you now, I'd tell you how much your love truly meant to me, how our conversations, no matter what the topic, always left me feeling heard and loved.
Mum, I'd tell you that you were right when you gave me parenting wisdom - that its equally challenging as it is beautiful and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I'd tell you that the suffering you endured wasn't in vain, it carved a new path for me and I've dedicated my life to helping women heal naturally. I'd also tell you that because of you, I'm now the healthiest version of myself physically, emotionally and spiritually.
I'd tell you that I wished you were here to watch your grandchildren grow and experience their love around you.
I'd tell you that your light, your authenticity and your kindness is always missed around the family table and the dynamic has never been the same without your warmness and motherly presence.
Mum, I'd tell you that I think about you often and I miss the sound of your voice.
But most of all, I'd tell you that I thank God everyday that he chose me to be your daughter.
