Weโre officially into Chinese New Year and to kick it off.
Try this delicious ๐๐๐๐๐ "๐๐๐๐๐" ๐๐๐๐๐ (or substitute mushrooms with prawns).
Itโs the real deal and the flavours are to die for!
INGREDIENTS
โข 2 punnets mixed Mushrooms
โข 1 sheet Nori, blitzed into small pieces
โข 1 Shallot, chopped fine
โข 1 Tbsp ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฌ or ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐จ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐
โข 1/2 cup White Wine
โข juice of 1 Lemon
โข 3/4 cup creamy, Non-dairy Milk
โข 6 slices White Bread or French Stick
โข 2 cups mixed Sesame Seeds
โข 2 tbsp ๐๐ค๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐
โข 4-5 tbs Sesame Oil, for frying
โข 1 Tbsp ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ช or ๐๐๐ข๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐จ๐จ & ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ก
For the dipping sauce:
โข 6 Tbsp ๐ฟ๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ-๐ค! ๐ฝ๐๐ก๐จ๐๐ข๐๐
โข 1 Tbsp ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ช or ๐พ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐ & ๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ก
(add both to a jar with lid and shake well to combine before serving in a small bowl)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 180C.
Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat.
Add 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil & Olive Oil, add shallot and mushrooms and sautรฉ for 5 minutes.
Add Spice Blend, Nori, Lemon Juice and White Wine and cook, stirring for a further 4 minutes.
Add Mushroom mix to a blender with milk and blitz until it forms a paste.
Spread Mushroom mix on to bread slices.
Generously sprinkle with Sesame Seeds and press into Mushrooms.
Heat a large, non-stick pan over low heat and add more sesame oil.
Carefully place slices into pan and cook on both sides for 3 minutes.
Remove from pan and sprinkle with Toastie Spice.
Transfer slices to a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes.
Allow to cool slightly before serving with dipping sauce.
