📚✨ A day full of connection and discovery for our Social Hub crew!
We kicked things off with a relaxing visit to the local library exploring books, sharing stories, and soaking in the peaceful vibes. Then it was off to tour our brand-new Head Office! 🏢🌟

2 Sleeps to go til the Lakeside Hoedown Event, thought we’d share the details for the day. Get into the Country theme, put on your boots and hat and get ready for a great time.

Celebrations are confirmed and rain or shine the event will go ahead on Sunday, 10th August 2025 from 3pm to 8pm.

Here’s what’s happening:

1. Limited parking in High Street and Lakeside Drive from 10.30am. Road closures from 11.30am for bump in of markets.
2. Market Stalls & Food Trucks through High Street & Lakeside Drive 3pm to 8pm
3. Centre Stage on Lakeside Drive with:

Barrick Dance Centre Performance
Beefas Bush Band
4. Roving Cowboys
5. Petting Zoo in Library Park
6. Fireworks on the Lake at 7.30pm

🐎🎉 Giddy Up, Social Hub! 🎉🐎

We had an absolute blast at the races recently with our NDIS Social Hub group. From the thrill of watching the horses past us to sharing a laugh over our horse picks, every moment was filled with fun and community connection.

Community access through NDIS plays a pivotal role in enhancing wellbeing and independence for participants. Taking part in social events, group outings, or community programs not only fosters friendships and a sense of belonging but also builds confidence and life skills through new experiences.

These interactions help reduce isolation, lower anxiety and depression, and boost emotional resilience. Ultimately, meaningful community participation empowers individuals to feel valued, capable, and connected supporting growth and improved mental health.

A big THANK YOU to our participants and support staff who made the day safe, fun, and inclusive. We can’t wait for the next adventure! 🥳
