Join a wonderful community at Captain Burke Park this Saturday 19 July at 7.30 am for Yoga by the River! These free classes offer a chance to breathe, move and connect with some fabulous humans (and dogs!).

Our classes run from 7.30-8.30am. BYO yoga mat, water, something snug for savasana, and a smile.

Due to all night rain and more to come, the ground will be soaked, so this morning's class will be cancelled. :(

It is highly unlikely our park yoga class will be on tomorrow, so much 🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️ the ground will be sodden! I will be there, just in case it clears, but it could be your morning to stay in bed 🛏️!

Tomorrow is the last class before the Easter school holidays.

Let's hope we have sunnier weather for our next block of classes. We start again on Saturday 26 April at our winter start time of 7.30am!

Dear Yogis

CLASS IS CANCELLED THIS SATURDAY!!!

As we might all suspect, the Council has cancelled all of its Active and Healthy Program activities until Tuesday next week. Stay safe, and see you all next Saturday.

Dear Yogis - as of today (5/3/25), our Yoga by the River class is still on this Saturday (8/3/25) at 7am. I expect another update from the Council today and will post on this page when I have any updates. The Council will also amend their website.

Please use your discretion about whether to come to class and please stay safe xx

Dear Yogis - Happy New Year! We start our Yoga by the River free BCC classes on Saturday 1st February at 7am. Neville and I can't wait to see you all again to share energy, fun, movement and yoga together.

Let's hope the 🌧️☔ holds off for our last class of the year, this Saturday at 7am. We meet at Captain Burke Park, Kangaroo Point near the amenities block.

Please join this beautiful group of humans (and canines!) to share the joy of yoga - our connection to community, to every heart, to the energy of all that surrounds us!

If you have time after class to share some food and conversation, I'll bring some fresh fruit and treats for our four legged yogis!

Another very wet morning for Yoga by the River - I will be there just in case it clears enough for class....but it could be your morning to sleep in!!!

Next Saturday will be our last class for the year!

For those of you who knew Peter, here are the details of the service:

Dear Friends,

I hope that this message finds you well. 🙏

Our dear friend Peter Bell passed away on October 4th and I wish to let you know his funeral arrangements.

The funeral ceremony will be in the Brunswick room Merthyr Road Uniting Church at 11:00am Monday 21 st October with a gathering afterwards over refreshment in the Courtyard. If you would like to bring a plate to share there will be tea and some sandwiches available.

My dear yogis, it is with the heaviest of hearts that I share the devastating news of Peter's sudden passing. A beautiful and gentle soul taken from us, I will miss him so much. Rest in peace dear Peter 🙏 💔
