💭 Queensland Mental Health Week

reminder: your brain needs a bit of training too.

We talk a lot about building strong bodies, but strong minds matter just as much.

Whether that’s taking a walk, training with your mates, switching off your phone for a bit, or just talking things out when life’s a bit much.

You don’t have to have it all together, all the time. No one does (even the ones who look like they do).

So this week, check in. With yourself, your teammates, your mates, whoever. Sometimes the best “mental health plan” is just showing up and being real.

Speed & Conditioning Squad is here.

Coach Mal is taking over Western Districts Netball courts for 10 weeks to put you through your paces. Think aerobic work, anaerobic work, speed mechanics, change of direction… basically all the stuff you know you should be doing, but never actually do on your own.

It’s a chance to shake things up, push the lungs a bit, and fill some gaps in your game. (Translation: you’ll sweat, but you’ll thank us later).

📅 Starts 9th Oct – 10 weeks
⏰ Thursdays, 5pm or 6pm
💸 $250 for the block (or pro rata if you’re late to the party)

Women’s Health Week Shout Out

We’re celebrating .wbn this week!

After her ACL reconstruction, Danielle has officially made her return to the Belgian Pro League with ⚽️💪 and she’s already back out on the pitch doing what she loves.

Her comeback is the result of months of relentless work, guided by our expert Senior Physio Elyse, who supported her through rehab.

Your resilience, Danielle, is an inspiration to athletes everywhere, proof that with dedication, expert guidance, and belief in the process, you can return stronger than ever.

Women’s Health Week Shoutout: Kate

This Women’s Health Week, we’re celebrating Kate, the definition of resilience.

After multiple microfracture surgeries on her left knee, Kate has faced more than her fair share of challenges. After her most recent surgery she turned to our team for rehab. With the support of our amazing physios Elyse & Bridie and EP Ben, she’s rebuilt her strength, regained confidence in her body, and overcome moments of doubt along the way.

The result? Kate is back doing what she loves most, skiing with her family. ⛷️✨

There have been setbacks, and times where progress felt out of reach, but Kate’s determination has never wavered. She’s proof that recovery isn’t just about getting through rehab, it’s about rediscovering the freedom to do the things that bring you joy.

Here’s to Kate a true inspiration, and a reminder of what’s possible when you keep showing up. 💪

💉 Needles? In physio? Yep. But only when it’s clinically useful.

Our expert physiotherapists are trained in a range of techniques, including dry needling, which can help reduce pain, release tight muscles, and improve mobility.

It’s not for everyone, and it’s not always necessary. But in the right context it can make a real difference when paired with a proper rehab plan.
