Ankle strapping is not just for when something is already sore.

For athletes in cutting, landing, and contact sports, preventative ankle strapping can be a useful short term support option to help reduce excessive inversion stress and improve confidence when returning to high load training or competition.

It is not a replacement for strength, balance, or control work. Think of it more as a temporary layer of protection while we build capacity in the calf, peroneals, and foot intrinsic system underneath.

Used well, it can help bridge the gap between rehab and full performance without holding you back.

Neck or head pain can show up in a lot of different ways, from headaches and jaw tension through to stiffness, dizziness, or nerve-related symptoms.

Our physio approach focuses on finding the real driver of your symptoms, not just chasing where you feel them. That might include the upper cervical spine, jaw (TMJ), surrounding muscle load, posture and breathing mechanics, or how your neck is tolerating day to day demands.

Treatment can involve hands on manual therapy, targeted exercise, load management strategies, and education so you actually understand what is going on and how to manage it long term.

If it keeps coming back or is starting to limit what you do day to day, it is worth getting it assessed properly.

We’re excited to welcome Chloe to the team 👏

Chloe brings experience across elite sport, orthopaedic rehab, and performance physiotherapy, with work spanning QAFL, VFL, Queensland Athletics, and the Australian Swim Team.

Passionate about evidence based care, Chloe combines hands-on treatment, rehab, and strength based programming to help people move confidently and perform at their best, from everyday active individuals to high performance athletes.

Outside the clinic you’ll usually find her strength training, running, chasing good coffee, or down by the coast ☕🌊

Some journeys back to sport are bigger than people realise.

After a long ACL rehab, Georgie then faced multiple shoulder dislocations, shoulder surgery, and another massive rehab process. Through every setback, she kept showing up. Consistent, diligent, and willing to do the work day after day.

Now she’s finally back on the netball court and stronger than ever 💪

A huge credit to Georgie for the way she attacked every stage of rehab, and even more special because she’s one of our own.

Big thanks to the team that helped guide her through the journey:
Ben (AEP), Will (Physio), Freya (S+C), Bridie (Physio), and everyone else involved along the way.

Big shoutout to Lily on her return to sport following ACL reconstruction 👏⚽️

A lot of hard work behind the scenes to get to this point. From early rehab all the way through to building confidence back in sport specific movements and match demands, she’s attacked every stage of the process.

Also a huge effort from Freya managing her strength work to return rehab, and the rest of our amazing team who helped support her along the way. A proper team effort 🤝

From high-performance umpiring to mentoring the next generation 👏

Di Fawcett wraps up an incredible on-court career, finishing as one of the most experienced HPNL umpires with 91 games and three grand finals to her name.

Freya’s had the privilege of working with Di for over 12 years behind the scenes, building the physical capacity to match the demands of elite umpiring. Consistency, professionalism, and a genuine love for the game every step of the way.

Now stepping into an umpire coaching role, her impact isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Exercise Physiology is still taxed… and we’re trying to change that.

Right now, there’s a national push to remove GST from Exercise Physiology services but it needs public support.

So here’s the goal:

👉 Get 10 signatures.
That’s it.

If every one of us gets just 10 people to sign the petition, we create real momentum for change.

Because this isn’t just about clinicians it’s about:

• People managing chronic disease
• Those trying to access preventative care
• Anyone who shouldn’t be paying extra for essential health support

On April 28, 2026, Exercise & Sports Science Australia launched the campaign.

Now it’s on us to push it forward.
