February is Ovarian cancer awareness month!
Each year around 1,815 women are diagnosed with Ovarian cancer .
In most cases the cancer will be diagnosed at an advanced stage where it can be difficult to treat.
Most commonly reported symptoms include :
Unexplained fatigue, unexplained weight gain or weight loss, urinary and bowel changes, increased abdominal bloating or size ,pelvic pain and deceased appetite.
It is crucial to be aware of your body and look for any symptoms that may arise and book to see your GP for persistent and troublesome symptoms.

Please welcome Dr Joel Seguerra to Albany Creek Doctors!

An experienced Family Physician, his areas of special interest include urgent care, cardiovascular and diabetes in addition to family medicine and skin cancer checks and prevention. Dr. Seguerra has practiced extensively in Australia after graduating from UQ in 2001, while also holding a senior lecturer position at the school of rural medicine between 2013 and 2023.
