There's a reason you feel burnt out, stuck and drowning in a never-ending to do list.
It's not 'all in your head'. It's the way society is setup and the way we've been socialised to think and believe about what we must do to be 'valuable'. (Spoiler alert, you're valuable and worthy without doing anything at all).
If life feels complicated, expensive, turbulent and lacking joy - you're not alone.
The constant pressure of modern living puts enormous pressure on our nervous system.
But ironically, when our nervous system gets dysregulated, it's counter-productive to these modern societal values of 'being highly productive'.
When our nervous system is out of balance, we:
* Can't think clearly,
* Strike up fights or withdraw from conflict rather than resolving healthy disagreements,
* Get sick more often,
* Over time, our organs, systems and joints give up on us.
So, I don't know about you, but I reckon it's time we kicked these engrained beliefs and assumptions to the curb!
Sure, we have responsibilities and we can't (and don't need) to let all that go. But a 30 minute walk for me now could mean:
* A more pleasant work day,
* A more present conversation with my loved one,
* A body that doesn't give up on me just yet.
And what does walking have to do with yoga?
Well, yoga is so much more than striking a pretty pose. There's a whole foundation of teachings based on self-compassion and inquiry that helps us make decisions to support a more fulfilling life for ourselves and those around us.
