The AusPollen Brisbane pollen monitoring is managed by the QUT Allergy Research Group. The pollen information will be updated by 11am every day during the grass pollen season (November 1 to March 31). The concentrations of grass pollen grains and other pollen grains present in the air from the previous day are given. The pollen forecast system has been researched and developed to assist members of
the general public who suffer from hay fever and seasonal asthma, and health professionals. The pollen forecast categories; low, moderate, high and extreme, provide a guide to the likelihood of being exposed to different levels of grass pollen. The Allergy Research Group is researching better diagnosis and treatment for allergies, and measuring pollen levels to help people manage their symptoms.
