Established in June 2004, Epping Surgery Centre is a purpose-built ophthalmic facility providing a range of eye surgery procedures including cataract, glaucoma, cornea, cosmetic, and plastic eye surgery.

The centre includes two operating theatres, a procedure room, and recovery units designed to support ophthalmic care.

Our clinical and administrative teams are experienced in delivering patient-focused services in a dedicated surgical environment.

Conveniently located in Epping, we continue to support the Northern Suburbs community with access to ophthalmic services.

We’re excited to welcome Melissa Hussey as the new CEO / Director of Nursing at Central Coast Day Hospital.

With over 40 years of nursing experience, Melissa brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and leadership expertise to our team. Her career spans a range of senior roles in both clinical and business management, most recently serving as Manager at MSI. Prior to that, Melissa held dual roles as Manager and Business Development Manager at Genea, where she successfully led hospital operations across NSW and ACT.

Melissa also has extensive experience in cardiac services, where she has played a key role in introducing innovative technologies, procedures, and programs that have driven departmental growth, expanded services, and established new specialty areas.

Passionate about staff development and delivering exceptional patient care, Melissa is committed to fostering a supportive workplace culture where our people thrive and patients receive the highest standard of care.

We are pleased to announce the development of a new purpose-built facility, Noosa Day Hospital, which will expand access to high-quality day surgery services for patients across the Sunshine Coast region.

The new multidisciplinary hospital will feature three state-of-the-art operating theatres, equipped with the latest surgical technology and supported by modern recovery and patient care areas.

The facility will support a broad range of surgical specialties including Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Endocrine Surgery.

Following the initial rollout of Alcon’s UNITY® Vitreoretinal Cataract System (VCS), we’re excited to share that Dr Michael Haybittel has now successfully completed his first procedures using the UNITY® system at Devonport Eye Hospital. Dr Haybittel and clinical staff were supported on-site by Alcon representatives, ensuring a seamless integration of the new system into our theatre environment.
