Study Hub & Group Practice Space
with Melody Edwardson starts Feb 10th.

Course: Aspect Research Centre for Autism Practice - ARCAP Self-Compassion for Autistic Adults

Description: This group serves as a companion to the Aspect course and offers communal exploration of the concepts and practices of self-compassion and how we engage with and adapt these to suit our individual Autistic ways of being.

Facilitated by an Autistic mental health specialist, the space provides containment, allowing for the ‘safe-enough’ exploration of challenging yet essential aspects of self-compassion.

This is an online peer support space, not therapy.

Length: 6 sessions
When: Second & Fourth Tuesday

Rested Autistic Wellbeing: Yoga Nidra with Melody Edwardson of Wellbeing Wise
Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a deeply relaxing practice induced by guided meditation, where you simply rest in an altered state of consciousness between sleep and wakefulness. It’s a passive and effortless experience; no concentration is needed. For one hour, you’ll lie down in a comfortable space and simply follow the instructions to shift your awareness. It feels like 2+ hours of deep sleep. You may experience vivid colours, visual images, sounds, or a sensation of falling that some people find disturbing.

Learn to gently release everyday stress with neuro-affirming Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT-Tapping). Melody will explain the benefits of tapping and how to integrate it into daily life. This practical session includes two guided tapping experiences (one verbal, one drawing-based, no artistic skill required), resources, and follow-up support. A prize draw for 5 free EFT Tapping sessions with Melody will be gifted to a session attendee.

What to Bring:
-Bottle of water
-4 pieces of paper (any size)
-pens, pencils, crayons ( whatever you have at hand)
–Bring along 2 everyday stressful incidents you would like to let go of to tap on. No sharing required.
