National Pain Week is Australia’s annual awareness event for chronic pain. National Pain Week takes place in the last week of July each year. National Pain Week 2025 will run from 21-27 July 2025.

Chronic pain affects people of all ages and can be extremely debilitating. Exercise physiology plays a crucial role in managing chronic pain by utilising exercise as a therapeutic intervention to reduce pain, improve physical function, and enhance overall well-being. And sadly, approximately one in four children also experience chronic pain, lasting longer than three months. That's around 25% of the pediatric population. Don't let them suffer, seek help!

We will remember them."

The Role of Exercise Physiology in Managing Neurological Conditions.
In recent years, exercise has become increasingly recognized as an important tool for managing neurological conditions. Exercise physiology studies how physical activity impacts the body and is crucial for developing effective interventions for individuals facing various neurological challenges. In this blog, we’ll look at how exercise physiology can benefit people with neurological conditions, which conditions it addresses, and how it works effectively.

Neurological conditions are disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. Some common examples include:
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Parkinson’s Disease
Stroke
Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI)
Cerebral Palsy
Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

These conditions can cause a range of physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. However, research shows that customized exercise programs can help improve the quality of life for people living with these disorders.
