I am truly grateful to be still working in the way that I love, after 17 years of running my own little business & the challenges that brings.
Thank you to each & every person that has trusted me with their health & wellbeing - without you I would have given up a long time ago! My passion comes from the need to support others & to know it makes a positive difference in the world x
I will be back on 2nd January (a Friday one off in the Paddington clinic), then business as usual from Monday 5th Jan -
~Paddington clinic every Wednesday
~Online & home visits throughout the rest of the week
In health, peace & happiness from my home to yours, M xx

Do you struggle with sleep in general?
Sour cherry concentrate is a favourite of mine and an easy & pleasant way to incorporate some extra sleepy magic into your evening routine. Cherries are rich in melatonin, antioxidants and anthocyanins – plant compounds that support sleep, reduce inflammation, tight muscles and aching joints, and can be helpful if you are having difficulty with your sleep quality & waking through the night.
Sour cherries also help cardiovascular health, and can support immunity in general.
You may find sour cherry extract in some sleep based supplements, but you can also buy the liquid concentrate from health food stores.
Try these ways to incorporate sour cherry -
~ Adding a dash to your liquid herb tonic (I do this every night when Im taking sleepy herbs as restful sleep is something I have struggles with at times)
~ Make an evening mocktail - use 30ml concentrate, magnesium glycinate powder & sparkling water
~ Add 30ml to warm water as an evening nourishing drink
*Be aware of managing how much you drink if you are managing blood sugars.

After abdominal surgery & C-sections, your body heals with collagen strands through many layers — skin, fascia, abdominal muscles, connective tissue, peritoneum — sometimes the strands stick together in ways they shouldn’t, and can cause tension, pulling, discomfort, or restrict how freely your body moves & breathes.
Gentle, intentional scar massage can help soften adhesions, release restrictions, and encourage better alignment in your pelvis and abdomen.
My services include gentle abdominal and scar work (alongside herbal medicine, energy & bodywork). Sessions can combine my knowledge of how the body heals, along with structural alignment & emotional release.
When working on your scar ~
* we help gently release tension and restrictions in deeper tissues, not just on the the surface
* we support your body to move more freely — inside and out
* we help you feel more connected to your body, your breath, and your scar
Abdominal massage is not just about the scar — it’s about restoring function, easing discomfort, and supporting your full recovery after surgery. Reach out to learn more x

I have used Lion's mane for years on & off, for supporting brain function - this amazing mushroom can be great if you feel foggy, forgetful, or just not quite sharp as you should be.
Lion's mane helps the brain repair itself by stimulating nerve growth factor (NGF), supporting memory, mood, and focus.
It acts as a “mycelial massage” for the nervous system — soothing frazzled pathways, calming anxiety, and rebuilding clarity from the inside out.
✨ A few of my favourite ways to use it:
– As a powder in morning smoothies or hot drinks
– In capsule (or now available in tincture form - yay!)
– Combined with other herbs like Gotu Kola for a synergistic brain tonic - Gotu kola is also great as a daily tea & tastes pretty nice x
Remembering there are no quick fixes for brain health, and there may be underlying reasons to explore - but this can be a good place to start for gradual nourishment and renewal.
💛 Perfect for times of burnout, stress, recovery, or brain fatigue.
Have you tried Lion’s Mane yet? I’d love to know how it feels for you 🍄

Ginkgo biloba is also known as Maidenhair tree, & is a living fossil - essentially unchanged for over 200 million years! A single tree can live for up to 1000 years, making it the ultimate expert in survival & resilience.
Ginkgo is amazing for hormone related symptoms where fluid retention is an issue -
~ pre menstrual sore swollen breasts
~ bloated & swollen belly when period due
~ PMS whole body fluid & feeling like gained weight
~ breast cysts
It can also be helpful for other health issues, including -
~ anxiety
~ brain function & memory
~ decongestant & lung conditions
~ migraines, neuralgia, MS & lupus
~ RSI & arthritis
~ heart conditions
I use ginkgo in my herbal tincture blends that are made up for patients during their consults, but you can get the benefits by enjoying as a tea.
Drink 3 cups daily of leaves infused for 20-30 minutes - this is considered a medicinal dose.
DM me if you’d like to know more - I love helping women find the right herbs for their unique cycles!
Enjoy! M x

This is exactly how I would support my body if I was back in perimenopause ~
Supportive supplements -
~ Magnesium - the right type for my needs - get help if you aren’t sure but glycinate form is great for calming & supporting sleep quality
~ Taurine - supports gall bladder bile flow & stress management
~ Choline - helps insulin responses, brain health & overall cognition
~ Omega 3’s - manage systemic inflammation (the root cause of all disease), brain function, skin & joint health
~ Collagen - naturally lowers when oestrogen decreases - supports muscle production, ligament & tendon strength, skin
Reach out if you need support finding the right supplements to suit your current needs, or learn more on my Cycles in Harmony online course via link in my bio. M x

In perimenopause, the way we eat can gently steady the changes moving through our bodies.
Our gut microbiomes alter, and you may notice that foods you were able to tolerate or enjoy change, leaving you less scope or recovery from indulgent foods.
The perimenopausal body becomes more inflammatory, another reason for higher reactivity in general.
Ways to help! ~
~More colourful plants for fibre, antioxidants and natural hormone support
~Quality proteins such as eggs, animal proteins, lentils, beans, clean protein powders, collagen and bone broths
~Healthy fats eg oily fish, chia/hemp/flax seeds & oil, olives & EVOO, walnuts, pecans, avocado - help bring down inflammation & stabilise blood sugars
~Easing back or eliminating caffeine, refined sugar and alcohol so sleep and a calm nervous system are easier to access
We don’t need to be perfect. Just small, nourishing shifts that help you feel more grounded and supported each day.
Reach out if you would like any support, or check out my Cycles in Harmony online course on my website for an easy to follow, keep for life guide to managing your body, understanding what your symptoms mean, and creating your own remedies & protocols to help. M x

If I was back in perimenopause I would...
Check my bloods for anything out of range - and have them reviewed by someone with a holistic approach to reading tests.
Sometimes ranges can be huge, and looking for 'optimal' levels is super important, rather than waiting until numbers are out of the range.
I also find thyroid health is a surprisingly common & overlooked issue for women due to the full profile not being tested as a general protocol. The thyroid governs energy, metabolism & weight management, mood, period health & much more!
Starter kit for testing -
~ cortisol, DHEA & insulin
~ iron, B12 & vitamin D
~ liver function & cholesterol
~ thyroid function (full panel
I can refer patients for private testing if you are unable to get tested by your general practitioner. Reach out if you have any questions! M x

The next few posts are about the things I would do to support myself if I was back in perimenopause.
I researched & tried so many things during those years - and was amazed to discover the amount of misinformation out there from professionals, coaches & influencers!
First up - I would prioritise my adrenal health above all things -
~ work on sleep as the most important thing to improve
~ use adrenal supportive herbs to nourish my nervous system
~ look at my routines & change things to prioritise rest & down time
~ limit screen time & get in the garden!
I have my upcoming workshops, and my online Cycles in Harmony course that help support you through these years of your life - to navigate the sometimes challenging aspects of hormonal and brain changes.

I'm a fully qualified Naturopath, Nutritionist & bodyworker - assisting clients throughout the Brisbane area and online worldwide. I have a passion for energetic bodywork through the mediums of herbs, remedies, foods & quantum healing modalities. I love supporting physical and emotional health with this variety of approaches - BioFeedback technology, Reiki, BodyTalk & herbal body treatments. I have particular experience in the fields of women's health, fertility and post partum care. I also provide home visits for new mums to support their physical & emotional wellbeing during their special time
Herbal bodywork - Herbal body treatments incorporate the topical use of plant medicine via various mediums. Using herbal infused compresses & oils, I create individualised body treatments to support the body through topical application. Plant medicine works not only on the physical, but the emotional state of a person, so by applying plants in a conscious way we encourage the body to ‘let go’. In doing this the nervous system relaxes, and a clearing of old belief systems, emotional blockages & patterns of behaviour can occur. The very state of release allows us to ‘see our reality’ and effectively release what no longer serves us. The power of plants is subtle yet very powerful.
