I could spend all day talking about lavender and just how beneficial it is for the nervous system.
Used for centuries, lavender is helpful for relieving stress, relaxing the mind and body to promoting sleep, healing wounds and encouraging healthy digestion.
Lavender has held up well in clinical trials comparing its efficacy to anti depressant drugs to manage mild to moderate depression. It is said to be helpful for those who feel they are 'in a fog' or a state of 'stagnant depression' - eg fixated on a specific traumatic event.
In the gut, it reduces spasms to alleviate pain, gassiness, nausea & lack of appetite.
There are many options for using lavender - so whichever suits you best is the right one!
~ using in a tea blend & drinking regularly
~ essential oil on a tissue or your pillow case
~ massaging diluted essential oil onto the skin or in a roller on the neck & temples
~ herbal tincture taken with guidance
~ dried lavender flowers in a pouch by your head at night
