📢Anapen® 500 - SUPPLY UPDATE

Arrotex Pharmaceuticals has advised that Anapen® 500 is expected to be out of stock in Australia from JULY 2025.

The shortage is because of changes in how Anapen® is supplied to countries around the world. Until this time, the product remains available.

School holidays are almost here!

‼️ Don’t forget to collect your child’s adrenaline (epinephrine) device (Anapen® or EpiPen®) from school on the last day of term. It’s best to have it with you over the holiday break in case you need another adrenaline device.

⏰ Set a reminder on your phone to return it on day one when your child goes back to school.

It is a good time to check the expiry date on your child's adrenaline device (Anapen® or EpiPen®). The expiry date can be found on the side of the device. We encourage you to mark this date in your diary.

We recommend Children's Education and Care (CEC) services and schools also check the expiry date on their general use adrenaline device/s. They may appreciate a gentle reminder to do this.

If your adrenaline device is due to expire, make sure to arrange an appointment with your GP to get a new prescription. We suggest that you organise to replace your adrenaline device before the expiry date of your current device.

Remember: If your adrenaline device expires in May 2025, the expiry date is the 31st of May (not the beginning of May).

Stay prepared for unexpected encounters! 🐍 Enrol in our First Aid course today and equip yourself with the skills and snake bite kits to handle emergencies. Your safety is our priority.

Braydon Brighton was cutting long grass when he was bitten by a highly venomous brown snake. It was his second brown snake bite and he says he "was a fool" for not having a first aid kit.

FINAL REMINDER to collect your adrenaline injectors from school! 🏫

Don’t forget to collect your child’s adrenaline (epinephrine) device (Anapen® or EpiPen®) from school on the last day of term. If your child attends a Children's Education and Care (CEC) service that takes a break at the end of the year it is important to also collect their adrenaline injector on their last day. It’s best to have it with you over the holiday break in case you need another adrenaline device and to make sure it is kept at the correct temperature through the hot summer.

⏰ Set a reminder on your phone to return it on day one when your child returns back to the CEC service or school.

Remember to check the expiry dates on the adrenaline devices. The expiry date can be found on the device and on the box. We encourage you to mark this date in your diary.

Remember: If your adrenaline device expires in January 2025, the expiry date is the 31st of January (not the beginning of January).
