This year, I’m letting
‘Eat Like a Girl’ (by Dr Mindy Pelz)
guide my health focus.

The book focuses on nourishment, rhythm, and respect - especially for female biology that’s so often ignored in mainstream wellness advice.

This year isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what actually supports me.
Eating in a way that honors hormones.
Training in a way that builds resilience, not burnout.
Resting without guilt.

If you’ve read Eat Like a Girl, I’d love to hear what resonated with you - or if it’s on your list, consider this your sign ✨

I love to create visual representations of the joy-filled life that I’m wanting to move towards. Something to help me remember to…

…to nourish my body well

…get out and move my body in nature as often as I can

…connect with those who nurture and nourish my soul

…take time to slow down and be mindful each day

…get less in my home especially in my wardrobe

…and embrace a low-tox way of living

And take time to receive this life each day or as often as I can - it’s super powerful and I would love to invite you to create your own visual representation 💫

As Christmas Eve settles in, I’m reminded that the magic of this season lives in shared moments—late-night conversations, familiar laughter, quiet togetherness. Being present is the greatest gift we can give. Here’s to memories made and connections strengthened this Christmas. ✨

‘Digital detox’.

How do you feel about your relationship with technology? Do you feel like you don’t have enough hours in the day for what makes your heart come alive and find yourself spending too much time scrolling scrolling scrolling?

If so then this ‘digital detox’ challenge is for you!

After going into ‘settings’ on my phone and discovering that I was spending 1-2hrs a day on social media - I was shocked!

When I realised I was spending 10-15 hours a week on social media - that got me thinking about what else I could be doing with that time...

I had always wanted to learn Italian - but never felt like I had the time...

I had wanted to read novels again - but never felt like I had the time

I had wanted to make more time for at home dates with my husband - but never felt like I had the time...

and you get the picture...I realised I had more time than I thought and I wanted to start to use it better and live a more connected & adventurous life doing all those things I thought I just didn’t have time for.

Now don’t get me wrong...social media is not the big bad guy -I am actually super grateful for social media. There are so many individuals and businesses who inspire me to move towards a better version of myself and live my best life.

The real BIG BAD GUY is the lack of balance and not creating healthy boundaries with social media and digital time by ME.

So that is what this months challenge is all about...getting balance back and making boundaries so I can enjoy social media and all its positive influence on my life without getting caught up in the time wasting aspect.

Come join me & build some healthy boundaries around social media and technology - let’s do this!

Let’s normalize REALISTIC to-do lists.

Not the kind that pretend you have 36 hours in a day or ignore the “small stuff” that actually eats up your time—like making school lunches, replying to texts, or walking the dog.

Write it ALL down.

The big goals AND the mundane tasks. Why?

Because they all MATTER and they all HAPPEN. And when you check them off, you see all you do.

This isn’t about perfection—it’s about acknowledging what you already do in a day!

Start the habit today:

1. Brain dump everything you ACTUALLY need to do.
2. Be honest about your time and energy and what you can get done!
3. Celebrate small wins (yes, even unloading the dishwasher).

Your future self will thank you.

If you’re working on building better habits too, hit that follow button! Let’s grow together—one habit at a time.

Back at it again with the sourdough!

After a few “learning experiences” (flat, gummy loaves and one that could’ve moonlighted as a doorstop), I’m giving sourdough another go.

This time, I’m armed with a refreshed starter (thanks ) and a whole lot more patience. I’m determined to crack the code.

Baking has been a humbling journey, and as I try find the balance after heading back to part-time teaching this year, I’m finding myself craving the slower pace that kneading and waiting bring.

Here’s hoping this loaf finally rises to the occasion!

Any tips from fellow sourdough aficionados are VERY welcome.

I recently heard someone say ‘if it doesn’t make me glow, grow or flow, then it’s a NO’

…and I honestly kinda love that!

Because let’s be real:

…if it doesn’t make your heart light up (GLOW)

…teach you something new (GROW)

…or feel smooth and energising (FLOW)

Then it needs to be a NO!

This is your reminder to protect your time, energy and focus like the precious resources they are!

Let’s embrace the glow, grow and flow mindset this year 💫

If you’re ready for something different, it’s time to start moving differently.

Old keys won’t open new doors.

The secret to creating the life you’ve always dreamed of is taking inspired ACTION — it’s what moves us toward the joy-filled life we were meant to live. 💫

You can’t keep doing the same things and expect different results. It’s time to shift gears. 😌

To move toward that joy-filled life, we need to embrace new rhythms, rituals, and systems. It’s a journey, but remember — it’s all about progress, not perfection. 🌟

And don’t forget, grace is essential. It’s okay to take small steps; every little bit counts as we create the life we’re meant for.

If you want a guide to walk alongside you, showing you the path and helping you align your life, comment MOTHERHOOD below - let’s make this journey together!
