Feeling stressed, exhausted, or like life is just moving too fast? Just so you know…you are not broken, your nervous system is just tired. Yoga is one of the simplest ways to reset, release tension, and feel more like yourself again.

Our Open Days are the perfect way to give it a try. They are completely FREE (wahoo), there is no pressure. We are a very down to earth studio offering real life yoga for real people with real bodies!

Come along at Wellington Point on November 29th or Wynnum on December 6th and try a mix of yoga, mat pilates, sound healing, meditation, and kirtan. There is something for everyone, whether you are new, coming back, or just curious.

In a class you will notice how your body softens, stiffness eases, and tension in your shoulders, neck, back, and hips just melts away. Your nervous system starts to calm, your breath deepens, and your mind gets a little space to pause. Even simple things like getting out of bed or moving around during the day feel easier when your body is moving well and your energy is balanced. You will sleep better, feel more grounded, and see how supportive a community can really make a difference.

All classes on the day are FREE and you can do as many as you like. Bring a friend, a partner, or come on your own. Everyone is welcome.

YOGA BAYSIDE Wellington Point is having a FREE Open Day on Saturday November 29 from 7am to 5pm and you are invited to come and try as many classes as you like.

We are a very down to earth studio with no dogma, no rules, and no pressure to perform. Just show up as yourself. We don’t care if you can touch your toes or if you wear fancy leggings. This day is simply about giving you a chance to experience real Yoga and Mat Pilates in a warm community space.

We’ll have lots of styles of Yoga, from. beginner to dynamic, super chill to super stretchy, as well as Mat Pilates, sound healing sessions, meditation, kirtan gathering, SPECIAL OFFERS on the day and lots more!

Some weeks leave you completely drained, like your body and mind are carrying more than they should.

You might feel tight in your shoulders, tense in your jaw, your thoughts racing, or that constant hum of “what’s next.” That is your nervous system signalling that it needs a break. Yoga helps by giving your body a chance to slow down.

Gentle movement stretches areas holding tension, your breath encourages your nervous system to shift from stress mode into rest mode, and the quiet space allows your mind to stop racing for a little while.

It is not about forcing yourself into shapes or doing anything perfectly. It is about noticing how your body feels, letting go of tightness, and giving yourself a moment to reset. Even one class can leave you feeling calmer, lighter, and more in your own skin. Over time, these small pauses help reduce stress, reduce stiffness and pain, improve sleep, and give your mind a chance to think clearly rather than constantly react.

We’ve added something new to the Wynnum studio walls, our Gratitude Board (Wellington Point board coming soon).

Every few days, we wipe it clean and start again, inviting you to write something you’re grateful for. It can be anything, big, small, serious, or silly. The first few entries have included yoga, movement, sunshine, dogs, and yes… beer. Because apparently gratitude and hops go hand in hand around here 🤣. We keep it real 💗

But behind the laughs, there’s a deeper reason for this. Research shows that regularly pausing to notice what’s good, even something as simple as your morning coffee or that first deep breath in yoga class, can have a powerful effect on how we feel.

Practising gratitude actually changes the brain. It strengthens the neural pathways linked with emotional regulation, positive thinking, and connection, and quiets the areas of the brain associated with stress and fear. Over time, this helps us become more resilient and less reactive to everyday stress. Gratitude literally helps train the brain to notice what is going well rather than what isn’t, and that shift can make a huge difference to how we experience life.

So next time you’re in the studios, grab the chalk and add something to the board. Whether it’s your dog, your downward dog, or your Friday night beer, it all counts.

Let’s fill our walls and our minds with the good stuff, one small thank you at a time.
