Did you know that having a relationship with a regular GP, clinic or primary care team can lead to better overall health outcomes, as well as improving access and patient experience?
One of the ways to improve funding and access to ongoing care for chronic conditions with your GP and other healthcare providers is to use GP Chronic Condition Management plans or mental health care plans for management of eligible conditions.
A valid care plan is needed to access Medicare funding for nominated allied health as part of your care team.
MyMedicare registration means that ONLY your chosen practice of GP can create these plans under Medicare - and prevents use of these Medicare item numbers without your full knowledge and consent elswhere (which sadly can occur).
We are delighted to announce the addition of another experienced GP to the team: Dr Morgan Etienne will start consulting at Neighbourhood Medical on Monday 9th of February 2026, including regular availability on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays - no need to miss work for appointments!
Dr Morgan prides herself on providing quality medical care for you, your children and your family across the lifespan.
Morgan completed her medical training through the University of Queensland in 2013, and was awarded Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2023.
Prior to working in General Practice, Dr Morgan spent time in specialty Paediatric training, working in hospitals across South East Queensland.
Her areas of interest include:
– General child health concerns including newborn checks, immunisations, toileting issues, growth and nutrition, asthma, allergies, acute illnesses, chronic medical conditions and disability
- Developmental and behavioural concerns in childhood
– Adolescent health
– Pregnancy care
– Women’s health including menstrual issues, contraception, Implanon insertion, pre-pregnancy counselling, unplanned pregnancy, fertility management, hormonal conditions such as PCOS and menopause related concerns.
– Chronic disease management including skin checks, preventative health care, iron infusions.
Outside of medicine, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and two and walking her two dogs. In her spare time, her hobbies includes reading, swimming, sewing and cooking.

ADHD update:
From 1st December 2025 GPs in Queensland have been allowed to prescribe medication for ADHD for all patients without psychiatry input.
At Neighbourhood Medical we are supportive of this change which will improve access to care for many people.
However, ADHD is a complex neurodevelopmental condition and not all GPs have the experience necessary to confidently and appropriately manage this condition independently.
We strive to make our clinic welcoming to all patients and provide holistic care. You can read about our approach to ADHD assessment for kids and adults in Dr Nicole White's latest blog: https://www.neighbourhoodmedical.com.au/blog/adhd

The idea for Neighbourhood Medical evolved organically while Dr Sarah McDonnell and Dr Nicole White were working together. Being in a similar place geographically and in their careers, they discovered a shared a vision for a boutique general practice with a special focus on women and children’s health.
Both Sarah and Nicole have significant experience in various roles, are passionate about the value of excellent primary care and understand the difference it can make to families, individuals and society as a whole. Dr Nicole White is the creator and owner of GP4Kids, a speciality general practice service for children and their families. Dr Sarah McDonnell has a particular interest in women’s health and also loves the variety of issues encountered in all areas of general practice. Both Sarah and Nicole have three children of their own and understand first-hand the juggle faced by families and women in particular.
At Neighbourhood, we aim to take a step away from the stereotypical clinical environment. We have designed our clinic to feel warm and friendly to create a feeling of belonging and safety. Building long term relationships with patients and their families is what is unique about general practice and allows us to provide truly personalised long-term medical care.
The vibrant local community provides the perfect setting for this. Both owners are local to the area and understand the needs and wants of the community.
Exceptional care cannot be delivered without the resources and organised systems to support our doctors and nurses, so we are focussed on optimising our use of modern systems at the clinic. As Neighbourhood Medical evolves, we hope to add likeminded doctors and other healthcare providers to our community and networks.
We are looking forward to our journey with you over the coming years.
