Is this how you’re seeing the world? 👀

Your eyes are incredible, but when certain eye conditions develop, the world can start to look very different.

Many eye conditions develop gradually, so changes can be easy to miss. Regular eye examinations are the best way to detect problems early and protect your vision.

If something in these images looks familiar, it may be time to have your eyes checked.

📍Your vision matters. Early diagnosis can make all the difference.

Yes… your vision will be blurry for a few hours 😅

During an ophthalmologist eye exam we use dilating drops to enlarge the pupil so we can examine the retina and optic nerve at the back of the eye.

This helps detect glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and retinal tears — often before you notice symptoms.

Happy World Optometry Day 👁️

Today we celebrate the optometrists in our clinic and the wonderful network of optometrists we work with who help care for our shared patients every day.

From routine eye care and early detection of eye disease to ongoing co-management, optometrists play an essential role in protecting vision and supporting patient outcomes.

We’re grateful for the collaboration and trust that allows us to work together to provide the best care for our patients.

World Glaucoma Week: Protecting the Silent Thief of Sight 👁️🛡️

Did you know that Glaucoma is the leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide? Often called the "silent thief," it frequently has no symptoms or pain in the early stages. By the time you notice vision loss, the damage to the optic nerve is permanent.

The good news? Early detection is everything. Regular eye exams at can catch Glaucoma before your vision is impacted, allowing us to manage the pressure and preserve your sight.

Have you ever noticed tiny specks, cobwebs, or "strings" drifting across your field of vision? These are known as eye floaters.

While floaters are often harmless, a sudden change can indicate a retinal tear or detachment. Contact our ophthalmology practice immediately if you experience:

🔴 A sudden "shower" of many new floaters.

🔴 Flashes of light (like lightning streaks or "stars").

🔴 A dark shadow or "curtain" moving across your peripheral vision.

🔴 A sudden, unexplained blur in your sight.

Early detection is the key to protecting your vision. If you have noticed any of these changes, don't "wait and see."
