The clinical conversation no one's having.

1 in 7 UK adults are constipated right now. 1 in 5 are too embarrassed to ask their GP for help. For integrative practitioners, it's one of the most common – and least openly discussed – clinical presentations.

We're touring the UK this May to July with the Microba Clinical Conversations Roadshow – a half-day, in-person CPD event on solving stubborn constipation.

Every ticket includes:

✔ Evidence-based presentation & interactive expert-led workshop
✔ BANT and NNA CPD accreditation
✔ Breathwork or sound healing session
✔ Nourishing hot lunch & practitioner networking
✔ 40% off Microba Microbiome Explorer for all attendees
✔ Entry into our lucky door prize draw – win a gut health hamper valued at £500+

📍 London – Thu 21 May
📍 Bristol – Thu 4 Jun
📍 Tunbridge Wells – Thu 25 Jun
📍 York – Thu 2 Jul

Early Bird £30. 2-for-1 special available. Spaces are limited at every venue.

Roasted asparagus & broccoli salad – and every ingredient is working for your gut.

This recipe is packed with six prebiotic-rich ingredients that feed the beneficial microbes in your microbiome:

🥦 Asparagus - inulin & FOS
🥦 Broccoli stalks - FOS
🥦 Edamame - GOS
🥔 Chat potatoes (cooked & cooled) - resistant starch
🌰 Walnuts - ellagic acid
🧄 Garlic & scallions - inulin & FOS

It also promotes production of 3-indolepropionic acid (IPA), which supports gut barrier integrity, and helps reduce trimethylamine (TMA), which is linked to cardiovascular risk.

Tickets are OPEN 🎟️

The Clinical Conversations Roadshow is hitting four UK cities this May, June & July and we'd love to see you there.

A half-day, in-person event built for integrative healthcare professionals ready to get clinical clarity on one of the most common presentations: constipation that just won't shift 💡

You'll explore it through two powerful lenses - colonic transit patterns and the gut microbiome - and walk away with a practical framework you can use with patients from day one.

📍 London · Bristol · Tunbridge Wells · York
🔬 Evidence-based presentation
🍽️ A nourishing lunch
🤝 Practitioner networking

Three plant sources in one simple recipe 🍫

Cocoa polyphenols paired with fibre-rich ingredients – two things your gut bacteria love. Good news, supporting your microbiome can be delicious!

85%+ cacao. Real ingredients. More plant diversity in = more microbial diversity within.

What is your gut test actually missing? 🤔

Most tests only detect around 30% of your gut microbiome. Microba Microbiome Explorer goes further - combining shotgun metagenomics with a targeted Pathogen Panel for species-level resolution. Every marker backed by over 1,500 peer-reviewed studies. No guesswork, just science. 🔬

Your gut has a lot to say. It's time to see the whole picture. 🧬

Not every microbiome test is built to the same standard. Here's what clinical-grade actually means 👇

✅ Validated sample collection – because clinical-grade starts before the lab. The sample needs to accurately represent the patient's microbiome, not what happened to it in transit.

✅ ISO 15189 accreditation – the international standard for medical laboratory quality. Every step externally audited, documented, and reproducible.

✅ Validated bioinformatics pipelines – rigorous computational analysis that ensures data is processed accurately and at the resolution needed for clinical interpretation.

✅ Evidence-based interpretive frameworks – because a report should contextualise findings and support clinical decision-making, not just list organisms.

This is what clinical-grade looks like. Validated. Accredited. Clinically interpreted. 🔬

Your patients' microbiome is a whole ecosystem 🌍

They deserve to have it measured that way.

The gut microbiome influences health through microbial metabolism, immune regulation, gut barrier function, and signalling pathways. It's a two-way relationship – the microbiome shapes the body, and the body shapes the microbiome.

Partial testing captures fragments of this system. Whole-ecosystem metagenomics measures it as the whole picture – species-level, function-aware, ecologically complete.

Because when it comes to complex, chronic presentations, the whole picture changes the conversation. 💬

This is what whole-ecosystem microbiome testing actually looks like 🌍

Traditional testing looks for specific organisms. One target. One answer.

But the gut contains trillions of microorganisms – bacteria, fungi, Archaea, protists – and they don’t just exist. They function.

Metabolic pathways. Functional genes. Ecological interactions.

Whole-ecosystem metagenomics captures all of it 👇

✅ Species-level identification
✅ Functional capacity
✅ Ecological balance

Not a checklist. An ecosystem.

The whole picture. Finally. 🔬

The clinical standard for microbiome assessment is evolving 🔬

Whole-ecosystem. Species-level. Function-aware.

The microbiome is not best understood through a "good bugs vs bad bugs" lens. Clinical relevance is determined by ecological balance, functional pathways, metabolic output, and patient context.

When we measure the whole ecosystem, we move from asking "is this pathogen present?" to asking "what is this ecosystem functionally capable of – and how might that be influencing this patient's presentation?"

That shift doesn't replace clinical judgement. It expands it. 💡
