$13,100 was the tally for the great walk

I have finally gotten around to the final fishing shirt tally

We have girls sizes from 10 - 18

And male sizes M and L left for sale

$40 - all the final proceeds go to Chris

Done and dusted - still a few donations to go through and will confirm final number the next few days

Thanks you to everyone who has donated, I know Chris truly appreciates it! We look forward to seeing how the donations have helped him.

Yesterday was tough, the last 5km was physically and more so, mentally challenging. What kept us lazy folk going was the determination and guts that Chris has shown through his journey so far. We did it in 5km and 7km increments with the support crew having everything set up for a well deserved rest and recovery.

We started at 3am and were finished by 1145am with a lot of luck with decent hard sand majority of the way

So much love in the air! We have had another wonderful and generous donation to assist us in the walk.

Sean Doyle, Paul Cardillo and Kerry Doyle who own a holiday home in Kooringal named Umpys Humpy have donated their holiday house for Accomadation for our unfit walkers to rest there heads.

Huge shout out to Steve from Maps Ahoy🕵🏼. This legend has jumped ‘aboard and provided us with a detailed map so we don’t get lost 😂.

Truthfully though the purpose of this map can’t yet be revealed but will be in the coming weeks. And we can’t wait!

Well here it is, Moreton Island Adventures has dug deep and out of the kindness of there hearts, donated our supply vehicles to and from the island. A massive cost saving! The Micat is a family operated business and have been transporting vehicles to and from the island for the last 50 years. I have personally spent some time with this family and have had the pleasure of seeing what great people they truly are. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Well here we are two weeks out from the walk, completely unfit and untrained - but ready for the challenge, a challange for love, friendship and family.

Chris has been making great progress with his new attachment but it doesn’t come with out its ups and downs. Behind every smile on social media, his hidden strength, pain and work!

Time to dig deep into those pockets and pass on to who you can. Open spots still availble for the walk and a spot availble for a support driver. We currently have 15 locked in - it’s going to be an epic crew!

Well in our hunt for practicing for this charity, it seems some dark humour was cast this way on our hike with a fall, a complete torn MCL, and a few other torn ligaments. With a recovery time of 4-6 weeks - just in time for Chris’s charity walk. 🫶🏼

Of course this doesn’t even come close to what Chris is going through, but has certainly given me an even larger appreciation for what he has gone through. I’m going stir crazy being couch ridden for a week and then we have this tough, enduring amazing person going through what is his new normal. My hat tips for you sir, and my empathy level is at an all time high. Love you little brother

Well the big fella is up and at it! Had a phone call with him this afternoon and could hear the genuine excitement in his voice with his new leg. What a man, I don’t know how his mind and soul is handling this like a trooper! 2 weeks home for him then some more rehab to perfect walking.

Maybe he might make a show for the May walk 😳

Some hike training on this beautiful Sunday to prep for the beach walk. Perfect temp, no rain but no veiw. A slight detour down the side of the hill but a great morning for a great cause.

If anyone at all is interested in doing hikes or beach walks between now and may, please let us know.

Gratitude - showing appreciation, being thankful and being able to return kindness.
