There’s something truly special about bringing generations together.

Our residents recently enjoyed a heartwarming visit to Taigum Child Care Centre where they spent time with the children during playtime.

A highlight of the day was watching the children learn about Aboriginal culture and dance - a beautiful and meaningful experience that our residents were honoured to be part of.

Moments like these remind us how powerful connection, learning, and community can be - no matter your age.

There’s a reason our memory box sessions have become a favourite activity with our residents 💭💛

Not only do they get to spend time with their Care Manager, Vel, this activity presents special moments of connection, reflection, and storytelling.

Each session is a beautiful reminder of the rich lives and experiences within our community.

We’re excited to celebrate the wonderful mums and mother figures in our community with a special Mother’s Day raffle!

There’s 1 beautiful gift hamper and 5 lovely gift baskets up for grabs — perfect for spoiling someone special (or even yourself!). Tickets are available for purchase at the front office or from the nurses station if you are visiting over the weekend.

There’s something special about the simple act of coming together.

Our residents and care staff shared not just knitting, but conversation, laughter, and connection — all thanks to the generosity of our wonderful volunteer, Orianna. She’ll now be visiting on the last Thursday of each month to catch up with her knitting group and see how everyone is progressing.

Moments like these remind us just how meaningful community, creativity, and connection can be.

We'd like to extend a sincere thank you to the wonderful team from the Sandgate Historical Museum for visiting us and sharing such an engaging presentation.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the stories, photos and insights into the local area. It sparked great conversations and interesting questions. We truly appreciate you taking the time to bring local history to life for our community.

Colour, creativity and a little sparkle!

Our residents had a wonderful time crafting beautiful bead necklaces this week — choosing colours, sharing stories and creating something uniquely their own. It’s amazing how a simple activity can spark conversation, connection and plenty of smiles.

Flipping for Shrove Tuesday! 🥞

Today our residents and team celebrated Shrove Tuesday the sweetest way possible – mixing batter, cooking pancakes and even having a go at tossing them! There were plenty of laughs (and a few near misses!), but most importantly, lots of smiles shared around the table.

Moments like these bring back fond memories, spark conversation and remind us that you’re never too old to enjoy a little fun in the kitchen. 💛
