About us - Dr Suvi Hyytinen
I am an Australian born and trained Gynaecologist and Obstetrician who strongly believes in promoting holistic patient centred health care for women and their families.
I have a medical degree from the University of New South Wales( UNSW) and completed my fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists FRANZCOG in 2014 and then completed a Masters in Reproductive Medicine at UNSW in 2016 with an award of excellence.
I have had the opportunity to train in large tertiary hospitals in both Queensland and New South Wales including the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick, Sydney Children's Hospital, the Royal Brisbane and Womens’s Hospital and worked as a consultant in regional Queensland prior to working in private practice for the last 4 years. I have also provided IVF services regionally firstly affiliated with QFG (Queensland Fertility Group) and now Cairns Fertility Centre.
I believe in supporting women throughout their pregnancy, during labour and in the post-natal period by comprehensively assessing and managing each pregnancy to achieve the best possible outcomes for mother and baby by active management. The safety of mother and baby are of the utmost importance and priority.
