Wishing our wonderful Jakob farewell and all the very best for the future! 🌟

After four wonderful years with us as a dedicated support worker, Jakob has moved on to new adventures. His warmth, compassion, and commitment to those we support have left a lasting mark, and his presence will truly missed at Reach Supports!

Jakob, thank you for your incredible work, your positivity, and the kindness you brought to every shift. You’ve made a real difference in so many lives, both among the people we support and within the team.

We hope the next chapter brings you just as much joy and purpose. You’ll always be part of our work family!

Last week, we said goodbye to our lovely Kahleia, who has been an incredible part of our team for the past four years! As a Support Worker, Kahleia has made a lasting impact, providing care, support, and a listening ear to so many in our community. Her kindness and dedication have been felt by all, and she will be greatly missed by both her clients and colleagues alike.

As she heads off to start a new chapter in Gladstone, we want her to know just how much she’s appreciated and how much of a difference she’s made. While we’re sad to see her go, we’re excited for what’s ahead and know that she’ll continue to spread her positivity and warmth wherever she goes.

Hi everyone,

We wanted to provide you with a quick update regarding our services during this challenging time.

We are doing our best to cover as many shifts as possible and check in on our clients. However, as you may already be aware, we are facing several difficulties:
• A significant number of both staff and clients are currently without power.
• Many staff and clients have lost phone reception, making communication difficult.
• Widespread road closures have prevented us from reaching some clients’ homes, and in many cases, we have been unable to notify them in advance.

We understand that some clients have been without support for multiple days, and we want to assure you that we are prioritising safety while doing everything possible to check in on people as soon as we can.

If we are able to get to you and service your shift, please understand that we are minimising travel on the roads as much as possible to ensure the safety of both staff and clients.

If you have an urgent concern or emergency, please contact 000 or 112. For any non-emergency related issues, please email us at management@reachsupports.com, and we will respond as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges. Stay safe, and we will continue to update you as the situation evolves.

Last week, we said goodbye to our dear friend Shama, one of the founding members of Reach and our 4th ever employee! 🌟 Shama has been an incredible part of our team from the very start, working as both a Support Worker and Client Manager. We’re so grateful for everything she’s brought to Reach and wish her all the best in her new adventures ahead! 🧡✨

Our client has been working on a fun project, bringing an old toy box back to life! With the help of her awesome team, she gave it pink and white stripes, added a black design, wallpapered the bottom, and even sprayed the inside. It’s now chic and fresh—a perfect transformation! Well done!
