Another hugely successful Nic MacBean Cup held in memory of a true Gentleman of Honour - Old Collegian, Nic MacBean.

Nic embodied the spirit of cricket in his everyday life - commitment, respect, community, and accountability - and his spirit was alive and well in this friendly competition between current BBC cricket players and Old Collegians.

This special day is a celebration of brotherhood and a legacy that lives on.

This 2024 Nic MacBean Cup will be held on the 28th of November from 1pm at Brisbane Boys' College (BBC).

All funds raised this year will go to Movember Australia.

Joshua's Motivation: In 2015 one of my closest friends took his own life after a decade of battling depression. I am motivated to raise both awareness and money for charities that support those with depression and anxiety to hopefully prevent the su***de rate of young male adults in Australia.

In this year’s Nic MacBean Cup, BBC was far too strong, with the XI squad chasing down the All Stars with eight overs to go. We thought that our score was going to be hard to run-down, but the BBC top order was simply brilliant.

Thank you very much to everyone who has supported the Cup this year. Particular thanks to Paul Woodford and BBC for everything that they do. It’s a wonderful community and we are all proud to be Old Boys.

I’d also like to thank and acknowledge Sue, Roger and Claire MacBean for supporting the day and allowing us to play this match each year in honour of Nic.

Finally, a special thanks to our sponsors, Suncorp Stadium and Julie O’Keeffe, for providing us with some fantastic raffle prizes.

The total funds raised for Movember will be shared soon, and congratulations to the winners of our fantastic raffle!

The Nic MacBean Cup for 2022 will be held this Friday (11 November) at Oakman Park between 4:00pm and 7:00pm.

There will drinks and food sold by the BBC Cricket Support Group.

We also have some great raffle prizes including tickets to Ed Sheeran and double passes to the Broncos and the Dolphins for an upcoming match.

All funds raised will go to Movember!

We proudly announce that the 2022 Nic MacBean Cup will be held at Oakman Oval, Brisbane Boys' College from 4pm on the 11th of November.

The All Stars will once again challenge the Brisbane Boys' College First XI squad in a T20 format cricket match played under lights.

A canteen will be open where food and refreshments will be available, and the famous raffle is back.
All funds raised for this event will be donated to Movember.

We are pumped to have the postponed 2021 Cup scheduled for this Friday night.

The first ball will be at 6:30 pm at Oakman Oval, Moggil Road (Wests Juniors AFL club).

There will be a canteen open with a sausage sizzle and soft drinks for purchase.

The postponed 2021 Nic MacBean Cup will now be held on March 11 at Oakman Oval from 6.30 pm.

Yes, that’s right, under lights for the first time.

Hello all

Due to the recent weather in Brisbane, unfortunately we have to postpone the game.

The plan is to postpone the match early in the new year and we will let you know the revised date soon.

The 2021 Nic MacBean Cup will commence at 1pm next Thursday, the 2nd of December at BBC.
