WHY MOST REHAB FAILS

Your physio NEVER set expectations early!!!!!!! /Garb physio.

Rehab isn’t always a STRAIGHT LINE. There will be FLARE UPS, setbacks, and slow periods.

When you aren’t prepared for that, you think rehab ISN’T WORKING and stop too early.

A good physio prepares you for the PROCESS, not just the exercises.

WHAT HAPPENED TO SHAVKAT’S KNEE?

After UFC 310, fight with Ian Garry (2024). Shavkat won via Unanimous decision.
• Shavkat reportedly injured his knee
• Continued dealing with issues from that same side
•No surgery was reported.

Late 2025 → Early 2026:
• reported re-injury to the SAME knee
• Required surgery (Jan 2026)
• Likely ACL +/- meniscus involvement (not officially confirmed)

Initial timeline:
• Expected out: 9–12 months.
• Standard for fighters: approx 12–14 months before first fight back.

First goal after ACL surgery is to get your knee straight. Reason being so many things in life require the knee to be straight eg. Walking, running, kicking etc.

Aim to get it straight in 8-12 weeks. 👌
